Hi.
I'll be sailing the Dream in a couple of weeks.
I usually get up early when I'm off and get my run and workout
over with in the morning. I hope to do this on the Dream.
Once I use the gym, can I shower there and what is supplied.

Thanks so much!

Yes, you can shower there. There are dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers. Towels and robes are provided in the changing rooms, and there are lockers which you can use as well.

Absolutely. :) They have lovely skin care stuff to use, and very simple Daisy-brand-style shavers, too.

This is great news! I was wondering the same thing. We are sailing on Wonder and I was planning to workout each morning and then get ready at the gym (like I do at home. I get ready at the gym). Hopefully, the lockers, towels, robes, and shower supplies are supplied on the Wonder too. This would make life fantastic.

Yes - the Wonder also has the self-coded lockers, towels & robes and shower supplies (including razors, IIRC). Both the showers and the gym have no extra charge associated, even tho they are in the spa area of the ship.
There's also a sauna area that I wish I'd been aware of for our Alaska trip - would have been an awesome place to warm back up after the Tracy Arm glacier day!

Yay!!! Hooray! Thank you so much for the info! :thumbsup2:cool1:

I was looking over the Navigators and see there are classes in the gym. For instance, I see a class called Boot Camp at 8:00 am. Are these fee based or included?
Thank you.

Some (most?) are free but some cost extra. If they are extra, the Navigator will include a note about a nominal fee.

Wonderful. It doesn't say anything next to it so hoping it will be just like my Monday night boot camp classes. I'll give it a try and see. Thanks so much!

First time cruiser here - What's the hot water situation with showers on the ships ? I like really hot showers !

Thanks,
Ken

Using the showers was by far THE best tip I ever got on the Dis! We had a 3-night cruise on the Dream last month and every morning I would get up early, walk around the empty ship and then take a small bag of bathroom stuff and the day's outfit and use the showers.

There are lockers that you can use with a pin code you create.

There is a sauna that can be used.

There are towels, washcloths and pretty much everything you would ever need. All lotions, cleansers, soaps, shampoo, conditioner. I needed very little, other than my own brush, deodorant, etc.

The showers were AWESOME. Very large, plenty of hot water, with the rainshower type of shower head.

I highly recommend this. Since there were 4 of us in the room, it helped immensely for me to shower elsewhere. It was ME time and I loved it! :)

This will be me next week!

I've been on the Dream and the Fantasy and I've only used the showers in my room once. I always use the showers at the gym. Bigger showers, better light for shaving, etc. It helps that we've been Concierge when we've been on the ships, so the gym is a very short walk, but my wife and I both prefer the gym showers over the room showers.

This is my plan as well! Add in a 4am workout like I do at home, and then either meeting my family for breakfast after getting ready in the locker room or going to breakfast by myself in time to watch the sun rise each day sounds like the perfect way to spend 14 sunrises on the Wonder!

I can't wait!princess:

Two things. There is a charge for boot camp which I have done. I think it was 89 for three classes. Also someone mentioned a 4 am workout. I don't think the fitness area opens until 6 am. Could be wrong but I think there is a definitive time when it opens and closes.

Thank you. The classes at my gym are included in my price. I have a thing about paying for the classes (and salads) go figure lol. Did you think it was worth the cost. My boot camp is 55 minutes of intense cardio, strength conditioning and sometimes weights. Gggrrrr. I guess I will see if you liked it.

I wasn't the one ghat works out at 4 am but 5 or 6 on the cruise would be nice. Being that you posted the gym isnt open 24/7, Ill make a note to check out the times.

Thank you!

This is GREAT information! I'll be on the Fantasy in a couple of months and I was wondering the same thing. I saw that they don't have a fee for the cycling classes, which is crazy to me since they do charge for it on Royal Caribbean, but I'm very excited about it. It will also be great that 2.5 laps around the deck is 1 mile instead of what some of those tracks are!
