Dream/Fantasy Stateroom 7690 or 10664?

We had 10660 the week before Chirstmas. Cabanas chair scraping was a minimal issue, and I consider myself a light sleeper. One day, someones cloth napkin blew down to our balcony, and on the last day, my son was getting dressed on his bunk when he realized some guy was out on our balcony giving it a hosedown. Minimal negatives.

If I remembered how to post pictures, I'd change out the one of my kids, as they are now 5 and 9 (lol), but I can email you some balcony shots if you PM me you email.

It was very convienient, very quiet (minimal foot traffic), and had a huge balcony. Laying out in the teak chairs on deck 4 is one of my favorite activities, and these rooms allow for that same feeling. Also, the giant deck makes the whole room feel bigger. Loved, loved, loved it so much that I booked the same room, but one deck down--only because this one was not available on my next cruise.

We had cabin 10662 on the Dream in the middle of December. Other than the excessive moving of the chairs in Cabana's on the night we were returning to Port Canaveral, there weren't any noise or fly away debris issues.

Empty hangers in the neighbours' cabin swinging and banging all night as we sailed, now that is a different story.

We just returned and stayed in 10166. It was fabulous! We had minimal deck chair noise from Cabanas (because it was closed when we were in there sleeping, mostly). There was no debris issue. I actually don't know how the rinse down/debris issue could happen since there are access ports on deck 11 where the water from the wash-down goes. It must be able to happen since it was reported on another thread. However, I think that issue is rare.

The best part about the aft cabins on deck 10 is the loungers! I spent a lot of time out there. We could not make it into Castaway Cay because of wind and there was not a deck chair to be had on deck 11 or 12. Having private access to a lounger and the sun was wonderful. There is an overhang but it is not over the entire verandah. I would book this cabin again.

The only negatives I would report are vibration from the thrusters when trying to get into port and a VERY long walk to the Walt Disney Theatre.

Thanks to all who posted about the 10600 rooms. I had booked 10662 for next spring and was beginning to have doubts, due to all the negative info posted. This helped me feel better and now I know that this is a pretty good room.

I will certainly enjoy it, sit out on the veranda and if a tissue happens to land on the balcony, I will dispose of it. ;)

We will never book a deck 10 room again. It was so loud when out on the balcony. We were right under the 11th deck which is where the pool is, so all day long you would hear running, splashing, screaming etc.

Then we always had water running, dripping onto the deck and outside the balcony from the pool, washing down decks etc.

During the Pirate Party we heard the music ALL night long, and it was hard to sleep at first - I was surprised it ran so late.

We will probably stick with deck 9 next time.

I have no opinions about the verandas at all. I will say that I really didn't like being on Deck 10 due to the noise from above. I would choose deck 7 over 10 for sure, even if it meant a smaller balcony.

I am trying to decide whether to keep 6688 OR switch to 10662 or 7690. Do you have pics of 10662? Or know where I can find them? Did you have 2 chairs AND 2 lounge chairs?

We were in 10090 Cat 4A this past May and we only heard noise on Pirate Night. So that is why we booked a room on level 10 again. Again we did not hear noise but for Pirate Night. I have a picture of the inside but not of the balcony

We were in Cabin #10164 on the Fantasy M/V (CAT 5E aft) and I will never again get an aft cabin under Cabanas. It wasn't so much the noise from CM's setting up the tables and stuff in the morning, it was the noise from the crew CLEANING the deck at 2-4 am that was unacceptable. Admittedly, I am a light sleeper, but just try sleeping with someone dragging tables and chairs all over the deck over your cabin (No, wait, hubby managed to do just that, but he sleeps thru his snoring, too. )

What should have been a wonderful, magical cruise turned into a nightmare of sleepless nights and days trying to nap while missing everything that was going on.

However, we have Cabin #8186 booked for our upcoming cruise in October. We love the cabins and the verandah, just not on Deck 10.
