Hi,
We are contemplating a room forward near 5532. This is on deck 5 forward by the movie theatre - with extended balconies. I think it is CAT 4#.

We understand that these rooms have larger balconies partially open above. We actually like the fact of having rooms closer towards the water and open. We are concerned about noise from the theatres - and we are very concerned about the pitching up and down (from being too far forward).

Can anyone shed light on any issues about rooms? This is for 4 day cruise. Thanks in advance.

We were on the Dream in May, in rooms 5540 & 5542 absolutely no noise from the theater. We loved the rooms, location and especially the extended balconies with the extra chairs. Loved them so much we booked them again for May of 2018.

We've been in 5538 on the Dream. It was very quiet and the extended verandah was fantastic. We had a great view of the fireworks since our son was too tired to stay up for the late pirate party (we did not get a letter to stay off the verandah in that stateroom).

I'm prone to motion sickness and I medicated as usual, it was no different than any other stateroom for me (I've been aft, mid and forward now).

To all that responded, thanks for your replies... I am additionally interested in these rooms because deck 5 is closer down to the water - we have stayed in Decks 7-10 before and sometimes I feel like the height removes you from the ocean experience if that makes sense. Did I read somewhere that you can have loungers included? Also are there any obstructed view issues with lifeboats or anything? Thanks for your replies...

Generally a lounger will already be included, if you do not have one you can ask for it and they may or may not be able to bring it. More often you will get a chair lounger and not the full lay down lounger. The life boats are on the same level, just look at any side profile photo of the ship. There is also very little in the way of a straight down view from the balcony. In fact these rooms really have more of a patio than a balcony.

Is the look down from these, straight over the ocean? Or is it ship infrastructure?
