Dream Concierge

No. I would just do one day. I can't imagine wanting to be in there everyday. Also, i am with you on the "spend all day on the island to get money's worth" thing. I'm still only 95% sure i want the cabana because I keep trying to talk myself out of it with thoughts like
"Well we have the 9am stingray thing for an hour, by the time that's over, we could walk to get a drink then go snorkel in the lagoon for an hour... Then i'm sure DD will want to go to eat then go to kids club so DH and I could go to Adult Beach... "

But then on the flip side of that, I think
"I may not want to snorkel with DH and DD, especially if my leg is messed up and it sure would be nice to just have a home base"

Sooooo... I'll probably keep it. I will most likely run DD over to Scuttles for an hour so DH and I can go check out the adult beach. He wants to try and find Barry the Barracuda over there and I've found a video on youtube showing someone who had seen what appeared to be a nurse shark and he would love that.

I hope we meet some people like us. We normally always scare people away because DH is covered in tattoos and I (apparently) always have a "please don't talk to me" look on my face LOL. Ive been told many times "you sure area a lot nicer than i thought you would be!" Which cracks me up b/c i'm MAYBE 4'10" on a good day and 90#s soaking wet. How intimidating could I possibly look?? AHAHAH!!

Cashe - we're on the May 14th sailing as well, also in concierge. I'm barely 5'0'' so I'm sure we will pass each other in the hallway or in the lounge!

One thing for the Sept. cruiser to remember is that you must be PIF at the 120 day mark in order for shoreside to put in your requests. We have brunch at Palo on sea day, dinner at Remy on Nassau day, and a cabana on Serenity Bay. I can't wait!!

yay! Thanks for clarifying the PIF, it didn't even occur to me b/c DH had already paid.

We are in cabana 15. You can't miss me, i'll be with the kid who's as tall as me, whiter than olaf and a hubby who is all muscle and 65% covered in tattoos. LOL.

Wow! I have received such great info since starting this thread!!!!! Thanks everyone!!! I'm more excited than ever!!!!! On April 11 I get to send my requests to shoreside concierge and on April 16 I'm hoping to report which cabana we got.:cheer2:

Yay!!!! Can't wait to hear more about everyones experiences! :-)

Good luck getting the one you want. IMO, cabanas 2-9 offer the best views and beach area on the family side.

Hi! I'm not Cashe but I emailed them at the email listed a few posts up. Just a quick email, asking about the procedure for requests. They got right back to me with the exact dates for me to send in my requests. :-)

I called the main number looking to get info on how to get ahold of shoreside concierge and a nice lady helped me with dining rotation (she wasn't concierge) and then gave me the info to get a hold of concierge. it may have been dumb luck on that one too.

Thank you both SO much!
I really appreciate it very much!

Just returned from a b2b Dream Concierge. It was fantastic! The Concierge Team of Andy, Ashley and Danny were very attentive and helped with all our requests. Ehram (sp?) the bartender in the Concierge Lounge was on top of all our requests and kept our glasses filled. Kevin was a great stateroom host and was also on top of all our needs. The lounge had many food/beverage choices. There were special gatherings as well. The dining room team headed by Joyce was great! Gilbert was wonderful and kept us full every meal with the assistance of Blyton. In Palo, Andrea took care of us for brunch and dinner and she was a treasure! Did Remy and enjoyed as well with superb service....Monica at the check-in desk was also superb. Now for my complaint.....due to all the Concierge assistance and food/beverage choices I felt cheated as we never visited any of the counter services on deck 11 - my kind of complaint (lol). If you get an opportunity to go Concierge, do it! Thank you Concierge Team!

Quick question on the Concierge lounge--is the iced tea 'real' iced tea or is it the fuze stuff from the drink stations?

(You know how it is, we all have our weird priorities.)

My drink of choice is sweet iced tea and vodka. I totally get this! lol

I've seen all the videos. Thanks for the heads up though!

Okay, so I've seen a pic of the tide pool and sand bar that separates it from what appears to be the "regular" ocean...and I thought I saw someone in a beach chair on the sand bar sitting toward the ocean - so my question is...Is it doable to just drag chairs out on the sandbar and play in the ocean, and yet still be in "concierge" space?

We are really trying to figure out which cabana to get with our party of 13 - 6 adults and 7 kids - two lower numbered ones next to each other or #21?! Just worried about lack of ocean for the older kids! But we really really like seclusion!

Also, cashe, I would love to see your letter too, if you could pm it to me? Thanks so much!!

Cat V question. Is there only one sink in the room? I can't tell from the floorplan on the main site. Don't the normal Deluxe family staterooms have a sink in each side of the split bath?

If you do decide to go with 2 cabanas, I think two lowered numbered ones would be the way to go. With 7 kids, I'd want to be as close to the bathrooms, Cookies Too and ice cream machine as I could. We've been in #5 and thought the location was excellent and it shares a walkway to the beach with #4. I think #2 & #3 also share a walkway. There are probably others that do as well.

Thank you. I'm really leaning this direction - and I hadn't thought of the bathroom situation with the kids - great point! My daughter seems stuck on #21, but I think I'll try to change her mind!!

Here's a picture of the walkway connecting #4 & #5 to the beach so you can see how it's set up.
