Hello , me again with questions!

This is probably one for lilacgems as I understand she has stayed at the Dream Castle.

Is there a deposit payable at check in? I don't do credit cards so I would have to pay cash deposit if necessary. Any idea how much?

Thanks again

Hi - We stayed here about 2 years ago and didn't have to pay a deposit - it might be a new thing though? Sorry I'm not much help am I!? :rotfl2: But we didn't have to pay anything when we went

:rotfl2: Thanks noodlesmum, you have helped because I was 99% certain I would have to pay a deposit by cash or credit card but now you have put the possibility that this is not the case so.....Thankyou and here's hoping you're right! :rotfl:

I'll ask my husband later because he will remember that kind of thing! (being parted from money!) :lmao: The only thing I can think is he booked it as a surprise but maybe they kept his card details on file. I suppose you could give them a call on 0033 1 64 17 90 00 and ask direct? I usually just ask to speak English in French and then take it from there - they should be able to tell you :)

Will do!

I won't ring today because I'm watching A Goofy Movie and he is looking very intelligent compared to me today! :lmao:

We stayed here last July and I don't remember paying anything at check in:goodvibes (Its a lovely hotel:lovestruc)

I must admit it has a lot of pro's - the room is massive compared to on site and the breakfast is nice with included hot options - mmmm! There you go Maxi my first useful piece of info all day - that I am 100% about!! :rotfl2: Hope you enjoyed a goofy movie - love it, my lo and I have watched Rattatouile to get in the french disney mood!!

2 more sleeps to go

the breakfast here was so much nicer than at the cheyenne, cant compare to other hotels. at dream castle your seated, its not a scrum, there is fresh fruit, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoe cubes, its also very clean

the rooms have fridge, safe, kettle, a working phone which i dont think many disney hotels have :lmao: and a tv

the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in, bathroom was very nice with marble tops, twin basins, full mirror above the basin, shower and bath

it also has computers there you can book to go online,a bar, swimming pool, sauna, room service, i think a hairdryer, toilet seat liners :lmao: the themeing is lovely and very posh, the views from out the back is lovely esp at night with the fountain lit up, indoor ball pit for c hildren and a carousel ride. also a vending machine with sandwiches, crisps etc MUCH cheaper than in the park and even rer, at reception and on some of the floors. very handy if your pekish back at the hotel

i really wish wed booked here now :lmao:

Noooooooooo! Don't give me useful and accurate information, it will spoil the useless and rubbish information vibe required to write our book that is going to earn us enough money to move into the Dream Castle Hotel permanently!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(seriously though, thanks for that info. it does sound a gorgeous hotel..:goodvibes..............I love goofy movie, and Ratatouille too!!)

Lilacgems, you are a star!!. :worship:...Thankyou soo much for all this info. It's always nice to hear people's experiences of hotels. It's looking like we have made a good choice for our stay in DLP..........:goodvibes

We should be okay providing you don't come back from this trip with any accurate information. Walk round with one eye shut and stick some cotton wool in one ear. This should prevent you from learning too much. ;):lmao:

My friend and I love the Dream Castle soooo much that whenever we stay at Disney we have to spend a couple of nights here, even if we are staying on site!!

Just a word of warning, beware of the shuttle buses and that they can get very very busy as they pick up and drop off at all 4 hotels.

We usually go down to brekie a little earlier than most so we can be on a
9am ish bus to the park.(Most people staying at the Dream Castle do not have access to EMH and alot think that as the park opens at 10am, then they will get a bus around 9.30, I don't think they realise that the park is open for you to wander around Main street from about 9.30am) From about 12 noon to 4pm the buses only run about once every half hour, at other times its about every 10 -15 mins.
Once the Park has closed we either go and grab something to eat or wander around Main Street shops/ the shops in the Village for about half an hour and you will find the scrum for the buses has calmed down. We've eaten in Invention before now when the park has closed at 7pm and gotten the bus back around 11.30pm, and we are the only ones on it!!!:rotfl:

Thanks for Fiona, You must be psychic :wizard:, I was going to ask about the frequency of buses etc, as my next question! I don't want to ask everything at once as people might get sick of me...:rotfl: I have done a LOT of research online but I like to get people's real experiences and not rely on hotel marketing info.
