Dream April 14,2011

Yelena,
I just talked to someone about switching our April 10th to the 17th. As of now nothing . We need two rooms (side by side) ,also i was informed that if we do switch the price is alot more exspensive. Wondering was this true for you?? Crystal~

Hi Crystal,
Yes, 4/17 is a little more money bs it seems like all East coast (except for FL) is on Spring break that week. FYI: there are rooms that accommodate 5 people (e.g. cat. 4B, deluxe Family oceanview room with verandah) - i don't know if it helps....:wizard:

Check out this post, it might give you ideas :) :

The only issue people are having with the 4/17 cruise is many of the kids clubs are at their limits, so some people are having difficulty getting a reservation. Seems you just have to be on the computer at the right time to snag one.

Not to cause a up roar, what Amish Country scootch did you go to? I am taking a friend and granddaughter in 12 days to PA. It's my fix til I get to Disney and this year I will go 3 times:)

We went to New Philadelphia area in Ohio. Went mainly to see a play called, The Trumpet in the Land, at an outdoor amphitheater. Also did some shopping of course and ate too much yummy food. :) Heading to Pittsburgh tomorrow to go to the Carnegie Science Center Sportswork building. My friend has a season pass and can get all of us in for free!! How cool is that  Suppose to be beautiful day so probably going to hit the Strip District and maybe ride the incline on the side of Mount Washington overlooking three rivers. :)

How is exciting is that:) I was born just south of Pittsburgh so I know what your are talking about with the incline, at Christmas time it's amazing:) Enjoy your day and the sites. Be sure to eat at the restuarant that you get everything including the fries all together, I hear it's too die for...I am sure with my latest bloodwork my doctor would NOT be happy if I ate it:) Enjoy..

Where is everybody? :sail:we are not organized at all :sad2:

:confused:Who wants to participate in FE gift exchange? Did you PM to TECHJPM ?
I love planning (it's my "drug") and I have been thinking (and buying) gifts for FE, but it would help if we decide on the name of our cruise and if I know ages of participating children.

:grouphug:

Hey there... I am here... busy planning my other weekend endeavors. Never did so many mini trips, think it is how I am dealing with the loss of my mom. As long as i can continue to afford them it is ok. :thumbsup2 Heading to Columbus to take the girls to the Justin Bieber concert. My brother is nicely flying his daughter up to go with the girls. I have two brothers that live away and they have always been great about visiting my mom regularly, so my girls are a bit confused why noone is coming to visit. So Sarah is going to use my ticket for the concert(she is 18 and a sophmore in college) and my hubby and I will just hang out for a few hours. Then this NYC trip in November. I am missing Mickey Mouse though, we have gone to WDW every November for 6 years, how will I ever wait till April to see him???

Just a warning as I know you are doing a fe with our 4/17 cruise. The stuff is great but takes up LOTS of space in your luggage. Wish airfare would open us for us. We either go Airtran or Southwest. Airtran is up to March in booking so maybe not too much longer there. I think Southwest doesn't open up till August 17th thru travel thru midmarch... so who knows when it will open up for April, likely be at least another 2-3 months!:surfweb:

When I was shopping for FE gifts, I saw a huge 36" wheeled bag for $14. I got it ..... with the hope to tie it up to the roof rack on our car. My DH is in distress :lmao: He thinks that I got gifts for the whole ship :scared1: So, let our FE list grow :wizard:

Oh, I forgot you were driving. Gee you can fill up the whole car:lmao: For us, not taking daddy, the FE gifts became a big issue. A great deal of fun, but not for a mommy who takes her girls cruisin' alone:scared1:

I understand how it could be an issue with airlines charging for every little bag:eek:. You can always choose to mail your box(s). :upsidedow

Are we able to sign up for the kids clubs ie: Oceaneer Lab at this point in time? I thought we registered for this at the cruise terminal?

Also, I must say "no, but thanks anyway" for the FE.

This makes me a little nervous as well for the kids club..I didn't think we could make ressies until a much later date...will someone please explain this to me? Thank you..

No reservations for kids/teen clubs needed. You need to sign up your kids just prior to embarkation (at the cruise terminal) or just after embarkation on the ship, or any time during the cruise. Disney limits amount of children on board (when you make reservations for cruises they ask children age for a reason) to make sure all can participate in clubs if they wish to.:wizard: So, no need to be nervous. :goodvibes

Yes, the kids can all go to the kids clubs regardless of how booked a cruise is. Our 4/17 cruise is much more booked than this one and what is happening is they are not letting people with kids in certain age groups that have met capacity even book the cruise. Not all kids go to the clubs either, my one dd never went even a minute last cruise. :confused3 Now if you need child care for age under 3, I would do that as soon as your booking time opens up. Here is a list of booking times for excursions and such.

The Booking Schedule is as follows:

120 Days in Advance - Concierge Guests in Stateroom Categories 1 - 3 and Platinum Castaway Club Members
105 Days in Advance – Gold Castaway Club Members In any Stateroom Category
90 Days in Advance – Silver Castaway Cay Club Members In any Stateroom Category
75 Days in Advance – New Disney Cruisers in Stateroom Categories 4 - 12

If you go to your reservation on the disney cruise site, it will actually give you the exact date you can start booking excursions, palo, ect....

Just wanted to say hello everyone. Haven't been on in awhile. Don't see much activity on here. Think i'm gonna start making magnets for the cruise soon. Is anyone else doing this? :wizard: TTYS Crystal in PA~

Hi Crystal, thanks for checking in, it is so quite here. :3dglasses. I was thinking to start on magnets, but I wanted to wait until we would come out with the name for our cruise

Only 8 more months!
Who is excited?
:dance3:

I think i am gonna do a few. Then more later. We really need to vote on a name soon. I gave my sugguestions awhile ago. Everyone must be out enjoying the rest of the summer.

Everyone still here :confused3 Busy getting back to school. Kids start Tuesday. Daddy already started(he is a teacher).

Really thinking I am going to wait and do Atlantis on the second half of my back to back cruise and do Blue Lagoon Sea Lion on this cruise if I can get the early morning spot. As much as I love Atlantis, I am afraid there will be too much repitition doing the B2B going twice to Atlantis, and Atlantis is truly an all day thing, whereas with the Sea Lion, we would likely be back to the ship midafternoon. Plus there are 7,000 cruise ship passengers in port on the 18th compared to the 15th, thinking that has to impact travel and Atlantis some. I may go back to my original thought of comfortsuites/atlantis twice.. but "at the moment" if I can get the morning spot for the sea lions will do sea lions/blue lagoon this cruise and Atlantis the next. Not going to cancel my CS reservation just yet!

ok, just checked though, the rest of the ships dont' get into nassau till noon. and there till 7pm. Ours docks at 930am-7pm so maybe if we would get to Atlantis early, it wouldn't be too bad hmmmm... decisions decisions... lol. Now on the 18th(for those that are B2B, the other cruise ship is only in port from 7am till 1pm, so that will truly be a good day for Atlantis. :)

Hi scootch! I haven't posted in a while...this waiting is killing me to be honest and for some reason I think that if i stay away from this meets thread it'll go by quicker:confused3. Anyway, nice to read posts on here!! Do you mind me asking you how did you find out about how many ships will be in Nassau on these days and what the docking times are? We are thinking of going to Atlantis for the day on one of our stops (also doing b2b) but not sure which one to choose.

I can't wait until the Dream sets sail and some of the Diser's post about the ship and their experiences!!
Have a great day!
