On the Dream, what part of the spa is free? Is there a free sauna, etc.? I heard the day pass is $16. Can you buy a pass just for 1 day, or do you have to buy a pass for the entire cruise? Can you book the day pass in advance, to make sure they don't run out on a crowded cruise?

The $16 pass is the rainforest pass, and you can buy it by the day or for the length of your cruise.

I haven't been on the Dream...but on the Magic there is a free sauna in the locker room, and the fitness center is free. Fitness classes and lectures are also free. Anything else in the spa area costs.

Where are the showers that everyone mentions you can use free? is that in the fitness center?

The showers are in the locker rooms. On the Magic and Wonder, they are between the fitness center and the rainforest.

There are also showers in the rainforest, but to use these you need to pay for the rainforest pass.

Yes, you can buy a rainforest pass under gifts. I did that as I was afraid they would run out and they did the day I went. We were on a preview cruise and the rainforest was really crowded most of the time - I used it two times that day and it was worth the $16 for sure. The loungers are great for relaxing and reading and the 2 hot tubs are unique as they are curved and only hold 2 people at a time. Several times people had to tell others that they had been in the hot tub 15 minutes (the limit) and others wanted to try them. The speciality showers are great. My favorite is the Thunder/Waterfall. It was hot with a cold waterfall every few minutes. The speciality saunas are really good too and they were also busy - the whole place was busy. Busier than I had ever seen it on the Magic/Wonder. The Spa is super! I was impressed with the facial I had from Jade.

I looked and for the life of me I couldn't find the recent thread for this...
The $16 pass gets you access to the rainforest room, which includes the rainforest aromatherapy rooms, the wet and dry saunas, the private hot tub, and the heated tile seats for relaxing.

Excellent! So once we hit our booking day (90 days out) we can find these passes under a "gifts" section?

The gifts section is available at any time on DCL's website. Just check it out over there.

On our Dream preview cruise we bought a 3-day Rainforest pass for $75 for two people... or you could buy it for $42 as a single for all three days (or, as everyone has mentioned, $16 per day). We took a tour of the spa right after we had lunch in Cabanas, and we bought it right there on the spot on the tour! They took our room number down and gave us a sticker for our KTTW card... and we used it for multiple hours every day!

Wet and dry sauna, but what about a steam room?
Is there a steam room anywhere?
Thx!!

Okay on magic we got to see (use if we wanted- but didn't) rainforest along with couples massage. I didn't see a hot tub- just a few heated tile loungers, the showers and sauna. So I assume on Magic/wonder there are no hot tubs for rainforest, correct?
And if you have rainforest pass- then you can do that and then use the regular showers between it and gym? (I mean to like really wash your body and hair LOL)

(also thanks for the tip to look under "gifts" in cruise plans- but it only shows available to purchase ahead of time one day- and says to download a printable form to order it. IDK what you do with that- I didn't pay attention other than clicked it to look at it and it's a form to fill out. I guess you'd mail it or bring onto the ship? I didn't pay much attention because I'm not interested in just purchasing one day anyway)

Read this somewhere that you can buy a day pass but not sure what it included or how much. We will be on the dream.

We had a day pass bought for us by friends prior to the cruise (note left on bed in stateroom).

We were allowed to use the Turkish baths (heated tiled bed/seats), hot tubs on balcony, 4 different showers with 3 buttons in each which give different types of shower. We could also use what I called the beginners sauna (not as hot as normal!), the normal hot hot hot sauna and a steam room.

The different showers were mostly cold ones :scared1: but there were a couple of warm ones for feeble people like me!

I was really disappointed in the rainforest on the Dream -- the Magic and Wonder's rainforest is much better, IMHO.

The only sauna that was hot, even remotely was the aromatherapy one. While it was very nice, you have essentially the same thing in the locker rooms for free, although much, much smaller.

The tiled lounge chairs were almost cold and while I love the new showers, they open right to the main hallway in the rainforest! I know, you're in a swimsuit, but it's still pretty awkward to have strangers walking by while you're showering.

I had no issues with crowds, but I went on the Castaway Cay day, so most people were on the island.

Not sure I'll pay for this one, again, although $16 isn't bad for a spa experience.

I merged your thread with the thread that was already out there for the Rainforest on the Dream. You should find the info in some of the posts before your's in this thread.

fthere is no hot tub on the Magic and Wonder - that is new for the Dream.

You do not need a rainforest pass to use the regular showers/locker room - that is open to anyone anytime.

You can call the toll free number and buy gifts also - this is what I do - I never fill out the forms - you pay when you purchase - if you buy ahead of time, you pay when you call/send in form and they may have the length of cruise available if you call in and ask - not sure.
