Dream 01/12/2015

Also - as we get closer, if there's enough interest, I'd love to set up a private mixology class for our group. We've done it twice in the past and it was a BLAST! ($15 per person for the class and 5 'sample' drinks)

Yes and Yes to fish extender and mixology. There are 3 couples, us Susan and Bob and then our children Molly and David and Kelly and Steve and 4 young grandchildren. Can't wait. This is their first cruise, our 12th!

Hi There, we booked this cruise for my daughters 5th birthday. She will turn 5 on the day at sea. My daughter and I did this same cruise with my mom when she turned 3, this will be my husbands first cruise. So excited, we have begun outfit planning, my daughter wants to be a different princess each evening, so much fun.

Does anyone have a problem splitting the FE list now? It sounds like the consensus is to split now and cap at 20 cabins. Just wanted to make sure that's OK with everyone before I do anything!

Myself (Terri) and my DH (Kenny) will joining our friends, krhardy and family, for this cruise and the Jan. 9th sailing. These back to back cruises will be our 8th and 9th Disney cruises, with our 10th scheduled for this May.

My 20 yo DD is in the Navy. She is currently stationed in Manama, Bahrain. She has been on mission in the Indian Ocean for 4 months and returns to dry land tomorrow and then flies back to Bahrain Thursday. Their weekend there is Friday/Saturday, so hopefully we'll know sometime next week if she'll be able to join us on this cruise! We booked her a spot just in case-it all depends on when/where/how long her next mission is. Hoping to know soon since we're coming up on our 105 days out. I like to be PIF as early as possible so I can book things if I want :goodvibes
For instance...we'll be onboard for my son's 18th birthday and since the boy can eat...and eat...and eat (you get the picture) I'd love to take him to Palo on his birthday

Is she stationed in Bahrain, or is her her ship deployed there?

Hello! My cousin Annie and I are on the 12-16 Jan 2015 Dream right after Marathon Weekend!! We are both over 40 (she's over 50!!!!) and we want to know if there will be other adult-only cruisers for Fish Extender gifts. We will also bring some for the kids we see, but I see great ideas for adults!! I'll be running Goofy, Annie is running the 1/2 at WDW, and I'm going to run the official Castaway Cay Challenge with the real bling medal, and Annie will do the regular 5K! Cannot WAIT for the cruise!!!

My DH and I are childfree and always participate in FE exchange! I love it. It's so much fun.

My husband Jon and I will be doing Goofy this year and the Castaway Cay
challenge. We are suckers for Inaugural medals. We will also be cruising as a couple, solo, no kids. As soon as I find the FE list I will be signing up. Just found the FB page for Castaway Cay Challenge and requested entry, now i'm looking for the cruise page.

Welcome! The FB page for Castaway Cay Challenge also has the FE on it in the document section : )

My DD is part of Naval Security Forces stationed in Bahrain...she goes out on multiple short term deployments from there. Her last one was from Easter to July 23 and her ship stayed mostly around Africa. She is back on base right now, but will deploy mid September. No word yet on how long...it's not looking like she will be able to join us :sad2:

It's been a long time since I've checked in on here and WOW!! lots of activity! I didn't read through all 102 posts, so I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on the FE groups. My crew and I would like to join a group. What do I need to do? Thanks in advance!!

Hello Fellow Cruisers... I'm wondering if you would suggest buying your own Snorkel gear and bringing it or renting it on Castaway Cay? Do I need the flippers or could I get away with the mask and such?? Any incite would be helpful! :cool1:

Renting them at Castaway Cay is very convenient. I bring my own snorkel because I don't like using other people's snorkels and mask because it's small but I rent the flippers. You are also required to wear a snorkel vest so you have to pick that up anyway unless you have your own. You certainly don't need flippers but it is much less tiring if you have them!

That said, if you plan to snorkel at other stops during our cruise, then you may want to bring your own unless you are sure the other spots have rentals as well. I would never pack flippers though. They take up too much space!

Hi everyone! Im running the Marathon and then cruisin to do the Castaway Cay Challenge :-) So far just hubby and me. We are gold almost at Platinum

Hello Everyone,

We are a little late in the game with everything. It was so hard to find this Disboard for some reason. I also tried following the FB link however, it did not work. I think I may have stumbled across the FB page by accident. We are not running, we are taking my 19 yr old niece on a mini vacation. Just a ladies cruise for us. :yay:

Looking forward to it!

Dave and I are looking forward to this trip. It will be our first platinum! We are doing the 10K at WDW with our daughter then off on the Dream for the 5K while she heads home. This will be his first 10K. I did my first half last Princess and will be doing the Glass Slipper with both my girls in February. runDisney events are addictive. After finishing last year at 66 i said "one and done" now here i go getting ready to train for the Glass Slipper.

I read that anyone can purchase Run Disney LE New Balance running shoes the day of the event. Anyone know if this is true? Where are they sold in WDW? People are selling them for $250 - $300 on ebay. Hope I can get a pair on event day, and hope they aren't that much!
