Hi everyone!

I'm just drawing a blank here for our theme. I haven't done a PJ just yet so here's a little info for the meantime. So far we've been thinking of 12.12.2012. For sure it'll be at the Wedding Gazebo at the Y&B Cub Resort. I love the beach but it'll be during Winter. I need some advice on weather or not It'll be too much to combine the two themes? In your opinion, would that be over doing it and should I stick to one theme? I was thinking at the Gazebo to have poinsettias with white carnations or with star lilies and I think my bub wants a snow machine.

That'll be fine I think but how about the reception? It's going to be at Shipwreck Beach with a family style buffet. I was thinking of shell and poinsettia/starfish center pieces but anyhow! Too me it seems a little hard to figure out how to combine both. Can it be done!? Is it too much?! Any ideas will be appreciated.

Ultimately the choice is yours but you can easily combine the themes...a beachy Christmas can be kinda cool.

You could have the Ceremony take in the winter theme, and then have the beach theme at the reception. I think it will work out fine! :thumbsup2

I love the idea of a "tropical christmas" theme. You could use Christmas symbols and tropical colors. Think decorated palm trees and santa in beach clothes. Something like this:

Just an idea! :)

I am really loving the beachy Christmas idea!

I was almost going to have a beachy fall themed wedding. I think you can use tropical flowers in seasonal colors to really bring home the theme. I would definitely play off of the starfish/ christmas stars! Wreaths can have a beachy theme to them too, or palm tree/ Christmas trees. I keep thinking to myself- "How would you celebrate Christmas on an island?"

Thank you ladies for all the awesome ideas. I just was worried that it'd be a little too much but I think it'll mix just fine. And I like the half beach and half winter themes as well! I wonder if Disney has fake palm trees to drag out over to ship wreck beach so they can decorate them? :rotfl:

I was also thinking for center pieces those huge vases filled with shells and sand with poinsettias inside of them. That star fish chair with the santa hat is too cute. Oh man! Hibiscus flowers all over the place sounds lovely. Anyhow thanks once again and I cant wait to keep on planning away.
