Dramamine

Do you think Dramamine will help avoid the motion sickness? I would really like to experience BTTF.

I get motion sickness very easy.. I even get sick on curvy rodes so I figured I should try Dramamine out before my vacation in September. Well I tried it out at our own mini amusement park where I live. Well no motion sickness whats so over but I got extremely sleepy. It was so bad I had to go home and I slept for a few hours. I would imagine if it worked on those rides it would work for almost anything but you might want to do a trial run to see if you have any side effects. I would hate for you to have to sleep through your vacation or feel worse because of the medicine. Hope this helps and hope you have a wonderful vacation.

Bonine seems to have less of the "tired" side effect. Try taking it BEFORE you go on your vacation to see how it effects you.

Ginger capsules also help.

Isnt dramamine a 24-hr pill? If so, take it before you go to bed so the drowsiness cant affect you when you're already sleeping.

Dramamine makes a "Less Drowsy" formula.
The wife and I always take one, just in case, lol.

Nothing worse that a queasy stomach after riding the Hulk.

I too get queasy on some rides. Dramamine worked well for me, only taking 1/2 tablet. However the only exception was BTTF which made me extremely sick. My son who does/loves all coasters (and doesn't get sick on anything) got queasy as well. I think because it was EXTREMELY warm in all areas of the ride along with being very claustrophobic.

I second the ginger capsules. It's an herb. No side effects. They sell it at Walmart for about $8 , I'm sure any of the vitamin or herbal stores will sell it too. I always use it. If you don't have anything else, like while flying on a plane, drink ginger ale. It's works on my daughter and me.

I think Bonine is way better than Dramamine. It doesn't make you so out of it. I take Bonine every morning before hitting the parks. Roller coasters I can handle but simulators fughettaboutit! I also can't handle spin around rides (tea cups).

I guess it depends on how bad you get it. If you get woozy after the Hulk or DD I'd think twice about it!
