Drama, Please End...Fun, Please Begin...A Sept TR Updated 10/31

I took a quick glance after we left TSMM to see if we could meet Woody. He wasn't out though and I really wanted to see BatB. The show was playing at 11:30. It's my favorite show of them all. I sorta miss Five for a Dollar though. My family humoured me and we went to see it. We got great seats in the center near the front. WooHoo!

Tale as old as time.......Ah, I could listen to the music over and over from this show.

Well, we thought we had great seats, until of course, someone let their children stand on the benches in front of guess who? Me, the one with the camera. First of all, that is dangerous.

After the show, the family wanted to ride RNRC Mom, my nephew and I went shopping and searching for vinylmations to trade. I got a couple of gits at the villian store and did a swap there too.

Mom was starting to overheat again so we decided that when the family came back, we'd head to WL so that she could take a break.

We decided along the way that we'd have lunch at POR. We like their CS.

I'm not sure why, but I have no food porn pictures. I can tell you though that my pulled pork was very, very yummy!!!

We stopped at the General Store and I did a bit of shopping. Joe and I agreed no more vinylmations..yep, right out the window. He got another one while we were there.

We headed back to WL so that mom could rest up before our dinner at Ohana and the Dessert Party at MK. Last year she didn't make it to the Dessert Party because she was just too overheated to go any further so we didn't want that to happen again.

My updates will probably slow down during the week. I'm so busy at work, by the time I get home, I can't even look at the computer.

Yep, it was true. Honestly, it sent me to my knees. People were freaking out a bit too. We were right next to it and you could see the lightening strike it and light the place up. It was creepy.

We had not seen Fantasmic in a while either. It was a goal that I had for this trip.

I'm glad that you agree about the rude people. I thought it was just me or something. I've never seen it like that before.

It was unbelievable to me what happened at Fantasmic. If they didn't have kids with them, I bet someone would have tripped them.

ToT was scary. Joe was serious when he said he wished he had been on it. I think he's nuts.

It was apple filling. I would have def got one if it were apricot as that's my fav.

You're so close now. Just think, you will be there THIS WEEK!

I agree with Joe, being on TOT when it hit would be awesome, just to hear if it was louder inside the ride or not

People can be really annoying can't they, I don't get hwy there is no consideration for others anymore. People don't pay attention to their surroundings at all. As long as they are happy screw everyone else. Though I don't think I would have kept quiet at the guy shouting at your mom, I would have to say something back and no doubt I would forget i'm at Disney and say things no little ears should be hearing

Look forward to reading some more, though not the bad parts

Had I been on that tram with my mother that guy WOULD have heard a few choice words from me. Regarding the lightning, I think it's a guy thing. Joe and I both thought it would have been cool. The women folk all thought we were a few fries short of a happy meal.

Hey, and make that two who ALWAYS start a new row, esp. at DHS and Epcot, which seem to have the longest rows ever!!!!!!
It's a running gag between Tom and I that we are just going there to start a new row!

And ......... I promise I won't fall seven pages behind any more!

It was quite the interesting trip, to be honest with you. Man, I wish I had seen the duck thing though.

The lightening was pretty far away when it was time for the first showing of Fantasmic. We were crossing our fingers that it would still go on. I knew though when we left the theater that show number two was doomed. You could tell as the thunder and lightening were closer together by that time.

I figured you'd get a kick out of my text. I tried to keep up with you and Stefy throughout our trip. I missed you not being there with me.

I'm still working on the diet thing. I am no where near where I want to be but I guess it takes time.

The gramma really had a hard time this year. We didn't make it one full day without a resort break or a break of some kind for her.

Craptastic doesn't begin to describe Roaring Forks. It wasn't so bad though because it took just 8 minutes to get to MK for food if we wanted it.

You have to try EOS for breakfast. It's delish!!! I know you'd love it. You're gonna be there two weeks chicky....how can you not fit it in?!?!?!?

Mama's was awesome. I think you'd like it. Everything was great.

My own dang fault on the butter thing but man, was I mad that it messed up our evening.

Had I been on that tram with my mother that guy WOULD have heard a few choice words from me. Regarding the lightning, I think it's a guy thing. Joe and I both thought it would have been cool. The women folk all thought we were a few fries short of a happy meal.

If it wasn't pouring rain and we weren't getting soaked, Shelly and I both would have asked him what his dang problem was. We have no clue what he was talking about. Mom was with us and didn't do anything but try and get off the tram and into the car.

Hi! I'm glad that you made it over to my TR! Nice to have you. OMG, the drama of this trip was incredible but we managed to laugh at ourselves. There wasn't much laughing the first day though. Everyone wanted to turn around, head to the airport and go back home.

My bro and Joe were both bummed not to be on ToT when it struck. If you could have seen the people around us though. There was a lot of "holy sh**, what was that" as well as people running for cover!

Liesa, I can't wait to read about your MK experience in your TR. I was wondering what was happening at the other parks and timing wise, it was just about the time that Wishes would have started, if I remember correctly...or was it a little later?

I was amazed by these people just getting up and taking their good old time while exiting. It was like they stood up, walked as slow as they could so that they could watch the finale. Ugh.

Nope, no joke. The entire trip was filled with that stuff...from start to finish! Makes for a fun TR look back though so I guess I can't be too upset.

It's a running joke with us too about starting a new row. It happens just about every time. Before Joe's back surgery, it was awful because by the time we left the parks he was usually in pain and having to walk those long rows really was awful.

I really wanted to get an update up this morning since I have to go to Washington, DC. today. I didn't find out until yesterday that I have to go.

You must have been at MK on the 12th. We were eating dinner at Tony's Town Square when the storm hit. Because of the heavy rain we stayed and had some coffee after dinner, so when we left it was just a drizzle.

We had a dinner ADR at Ohana's. I was very excited as we've never had dinner there before. We drove from WL over and we had planned to take the monorail from there to MK for the Dessert Party.

Once we arrived at the Poly, I just had to take a few pictures before heading to Ohana to check in.

We made our way upstairs and I got in line to check us in. The line was HUGE. Want to hear something sorta funny? There were two ladies in line, one in front of me and one behind me. I'd be willing to bet that neither one of them had been to Disney before because they were both complaining about the line and hoping that they wouldn't have to wait too long. Yep, neither one of them had a ressie. We started to chat and one asks how long of a wait did I think it would be. I asked her what time her ADR was for. She's like "what's that?" I said it's your "advanced dining reservation" and told her that I had made mine 6 months ago. With that, the lady behind me gets her husband and says "we should have made reservations before we left home." Apparently, this was her first day at Disney and they had not made ANY adr's. Yikes...during FD no less. The lady in front of me gets to the desk and gets a serious attitude when the CM said it would be about an hour and 45 minutes (no ADR either). So, she gets nasty, tells her hubs who says..."well, then we will take our business somewhere else." Good luck dude. I sometimes wonder if those two families were able to have a TS meal during their trip.

Anywho......we got our pager and I walked around and took a few more pictures while we waited.

We were seated in less than 10 minutes.

Our CM took our drink order. My brother decided to try a lapu lapu which then proceeded to engage my mother in a lecture and grilling him on how it wasn't healthy to drink.

The brought out our bread and all I can say is OMG, that stuff is amazing!!!!!!

Next were the pot stickers, salad and wings. I loved the pot stickers. I didn't try the wings.

My nepehew was less than impressed but his idea of a salad is iceburg lettuce, shredded cheese and a zillion crutons. And don't forget the Ranch dressing. That is all he will eat!

I didn't take any more food pictures until the dessert. I thought that the food was good, aside from the pork. I hated it. I think my favorite was the shrimp, even though we had to peel it ourselves.

We were all trying to save room for the dessert party later that evening and then THIS came out. DANG, this stuff was awesome!!!!!!
