Drakes or Hostess??

I have never heard of Drakes, Hostess is okay but Little Debbie....MMMMMM I love, love, love the Star Crunch's..

I don't know what Drake's are, so I would have to pick Hostess. However, I would pick Tastycake over Hostess. Yum! I may have to go to the store now....

Another vote for Tastykakes!! "Nobody makes a cake as tasty as a Tastykake" I have some sugar free coffee cream cakes in my pantry right now that are really, really good. Hard to believe considering they are sugarfree. But, my all time favorites are the peanut butter kandykakes...yummmmy. DH's favorite would be the butterscotch krimpet.

Believe me, once you have tried a Tastykake, you will quickly forget Drake's or Hostess or Little Debbie exists. BTW, you can order them online now.

Love Drakes!! Since they do not sell them here in the Chicago area, I had to stock up on Yodels and Devil Dogs on my trip to NH last weekend. Got them all home in one piece, lol. Oh and while I was at it, I picked up some "normal" hot dog rolls too! LOL!!

As someone raised in the South on Hostess, Drake's gets my vote. When we went to WDW in Aug, we ordered groceries from gardengrocer.com, and they sell Drake's. My mom, who grew up in NJ, went with us. She LOVES Drake's, so as a surprise I ordered a few boxes of Devil Dogs and Coffee Cakes. They were sooooo gooood!!! I'm totally hooked, and have to wait until next Aug to get my next Drake's fix in FL!!

Ohhh, I'm a Drakes cakes girl all the way. Have not had them since I was a young girl. Only Lirttle Debbie and Hostess available here in WNY.

But I gotta know what is with the table full of Hostess. Darn girl, I would be big as a barn knowing that was so close.

I stopped at 7-11 on the way home and picked up a package of Yodels. But, in the name of fairness, I also picked up a package of Suzy Q's. I had one of each, and will have the remainder for breakfast tomorrow.

For all of you Drakes fans out there, do you remember when Yodels were individually wrapped in foil?

OK, I'll stop the snack cake talk now - I promise.

Now they are owned by the same company, but I remember the Ring Dings and yodels being individually wrapped. It was a happy day when they were in my lunch. My favorite of all is the Funny Bones. They are yummy frozen.

Did you know that the big difference is that Drakes is kosher (using shortening, not lard) and Hostess is not? When the companies merged, they were going to eliminate the Drakes line, then realized that they would do well to keep the kosher products.

Yes, I read up about both companies night before last on Wiki while watching Food Network.
