Dragon back in parade?

Has the dragon made his way back into the Fantasy parade yet?

Not yet. Rumor is that it may be a while before it's back in the parade, like months or even next year. I am sure the news will break immediately when it returns.

The fire-breathing part worked too well, resulting in BBQ dragon.

It was a minor incident but it did damage the float. No cast members or guests were harmed. Currently the temporary Sleeping Beauty unit is a weird gazebo thing with Aurora and Philip in it. It's...not that good. I'm sure the dragon will return, though I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't breathe fire anymore.

My sons are 8 and 10, and not terribly interested in character viewing. The fire-breathing dragon was really the only selling point I had to get them to watch the parade with me.

Oh, well. DD is only 2, so by the time I take her to MK, she'll know the characters and hopefully want to watch with me.

It was the show-stopper for sure! Maybe you can sell them on the ruffians from Tangled that swing on huge pendulums along with Maximus the horse. That's pretty good too, though early in the parade.

The dragon was not there when I watched 5/22. The parade was amazing! It would've probably been spectacular with the dragon, but because this was my first time ever seeing the parade, I was still thoroughly impressed. My daughter was in awe of it all and my son (8) was entertained.

Is Prince Phillip and the stilt walkers -- the purple thorny ones still in the parade?

Prince Phillip is in a gazebo with Aurora. They twirl around and look lovingly into each other's eyes. No purple, thorny stilt walkers.

We just saw the parade on Sunday...it really does seem strangely "empty" during Princess Aurora's part now! Even without knowing what used to be there, I could tell something was missing. Now seeing that there used to be thorny stilt walkers to go along with the dragon makes so much sense!

I think it's an amazing parade too. I've only seen it once, back in 2016, and we had front row on the curb right in front of the castle. The costumes and floats are just beautiful! I loved the dragon for sure, hate that she'll be missing, but I definitely want to see the parade again when I'm down next month.

I believe Peter Pan is indeed the culprit. I miss the garland.
