I was reading prevention magazine and saw more information on Dr. Phil's plan. Is anyone doing this plan? I also saw it on ediets, but I don't think i'm getting the gist of it. Any information on the diet, or should I just go get the book. I will be a maid of honor in 7 months. I really want to lose 40 pounds. Not just for the wedding, but for my health.

I have read the book and was following the plan, but I sort of fell off the wagon. In my opinion, it is a great plan for life-long healthy eating. It also addresses emotional eating, which I have a big problem with. I have done e-diets, and if you are currently a member, I would recommend switching your meals over to the Dr. Phil plan. The book is very good, as far as diet books, go. And it gives you a lot of concrete steps that you can take to change your lifestyle. It really isn't a diet, which I love, but it does make you have to change a lot of bad habits. It really is more about eating healthy and in moderation. It tends to be a bit on the low-fat side, but also without a lot of sugars and refined flour food. It really pushes the fruits and veggies. And of course portion control. Another big problem for me.

Good luck!
