DQ ticket ??

Does anyone know if you can upgrade a paid DQ childs ticket at the window for an adults ticket and pay the difference? I have two childs tickets from last year and wanted to give them to my neighbor and just was curious to see if they can upgrade otherwise no sense giving them the tickets.
