DP with Convention Resort/Ticket Discounts

At the moment I have a convention discounted rate booked at Beach Club and Grand- does anyone know if I can add a dining plan to this? I could buy tickets through the convention as well but I would really like to add dining.

Can't be done. To get a dining plan you have to purchase a package reservation directly through Disney (or via a travel agent who purchases through Disney on your behalf.)

The only way you can get a dining plan is to give up the convention discount on the resort and purchase a package yourself. Unless you are a DVC member and then you can book yourself into DVC and purchase a dining plan.
