Doylestown PA WISH Walking Meet on 10/25

Would anyone else like to join us on Saturday October 25th??

Who: Any WISHers who are up for a 6.2 mile stroll. So far, we have Lulu201, Auntmeme, MelanieC, Disboo and DoeWDW (and maybe Wovenwonder). Also, extra family members and friends are welcome!!

What: A 6.2 mile stroll through the streets of Doylestown while we chat and get to know each other better. This walk is not timed - you can go at your own pace and take breaks as you need them. The course is flat and is stroller friendly.

Where: Meet outside Kenny's News Agency, 17 West State Street in Doylestown (Bucks County) PA. The link below features a map with directions and where to park.

When: 10:45 AM on Saturday October 25th (rain date is Nov 1st)

Why: Because we thought it might be fun!!


I'm bringing DH along - he loves to walk and he's anxious to see the castles in Doylestown. Here's a link to the walk we're doing:

After the walk, DH and I will be going to a local restaurant (to be picked that day) for a late lunch and we'd love to others come along!

i live in hatboro.......which is not far from doylestown.....so maybe i can come........i am having a party that night so i might need to be home that day so we'll have to see but i will try ok?

i was planning on coming, but now I have a workshop in Philly that I must attend, so no walk for me. I.m really sorry. If it's fun and you plan another one, I'm in!

I'll be wearing my usual fall gear - jeans, sneakers, turtleneck, sweater and light jacket. Layers are good!

I also pack the bare essentials into a belt pack so I don't have to lug a purse and so I can keep my hands free. I also bring a bottle of water on a bottle strap (from Disney World of course ).

I'll be working on posting more information this week so check this thread! I'm so excited to meet some of my WISH friends!

The 5 day forcasts start tomorrow. Thursday & Friday look good but chilly. The weatherman said he is hoping it will be in the 60's by the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for a lovely, sunny day.

Disboo, so sorry that you can't join us........you are probably not too far from me maybe a few of us who live in the area can meet another time. We will miss you!

Just 2 more days....WOO HOO!!!!

It looks like the weather will be great for our walk on Saturday and the fall leaves should be at their peak!!

We are strolling - not power walking - so wear comfortable clothes in layers. I'll be in jeans, sneakers, white turtleneck and red Mickey Mouse jacket.

You may want to bring a bottle of water - I use a WDW bottle strap for mine.

I put just the bare essentials in my belt pack - a couple dollars, car keys, pen, my AVA walking books - so my hands are free.

Here's a pic of DH (Todd) and me (Doreen) - we'll be outside Kenny's News Agency around 10:40 AM. Look for us and don't be shy!! We would like to start walking by 11 AM.

By the way, the trail loops through one end of Doylestown, comes back close to the start point, and then loops through the other end of Doylestown. If you don't want to do the entire 6.2 miles, it would be easy for you to walk the first half with us and then drop out if you're not up to the rest of the walk.

The big day is tomorrow. How many people are actually going?

I will probably leave early so that I don't have any problems finding the place. I am coming up route 313, so most of the directions I am finding are not from this direction, but rather from the Turnpike.

Is everyone parking across from the courthouse?

Looking forward to tomorrow. It looks like it will be warmer than any day this week, but still chilly and partly sunny. I am so glad the weather is holding out for us.

Sorry girls but I really can't make it tomorrow. I am still not caught up with work, housecleaning, halloween prep but my son has a cold and my dh has to work and I don't want him outside for that long. SORRY! I loved my 2 week vaca but It's going to take me a month to get up to speed. Please forgive
