I keep seeing sites that say that the DTD is a hub, and then other places that said that you cant get to place X form TTC. What bus routes start at TTC?

You can get to pretty much any place other than one of the parks from DTD. You can get to any of the resorts from there. They don't do buses to the park to prevent people from parking there for free and then hopping on a bus to the parks.

As far as the TTC goes, there are no Disney buses that stop there except for buses to DHS and AK. That allows people parking at the MK to get to all of the parks from the TTC. All of the MK resort buses go to the bus depot over on the park side of the lagoon. The TTC does have the stations for the MK resort and express monorails, the MK ferry and the Epcot monorail.

Downtown Disney is a hub in the sense that it is the place you have to go to transfer when going from one resort to another resort after the parks have closed. During the day, you can make the always needed transfer at theme parks when going resort to resort.
