Hi.
I have decided to buy 2 MYW 10 day base tickets with water fun and more option so me and my son can do disneyquest and water parks.
My wife does not want water parks or disneyquest as we also have a 3 year old daughter with us so we are also buying 2 MYW 10 day base tickets but without the water park option.
What I would like to know is could I go to disneyquest with my son with our tickets and while I am in there will my wife and daughter be allowed to go round the shops and restaurants at downtown disney or will she have to upgrade her pass.
It may seem a daft question but thanks for any replies

Hi there, you don't need a park ticket to go round the shops and restaurants at Downtown Disney, it's an open area - though I'd make sure you and your son have some time there also, there's some really good shops!

I have spent many enjoyable hours going round the shops whilst DD and DH are in Disney Quest, you don't need any pass to go into the shops, just DH wallet!
Disney Quest staff were really friendly and actually let me in one day to find them as DH and DD had lost track of the time.
Hope this is of help

I think at the moment DQ is the only thing you need tickets for other than Cirque du Soleil (pricey but I hear it's nice if you like that kind of thing). So don't worry your DW and DD will be fine in the shops but you may be carrying lots of your DW's and DD's bags back with you when you and your DS emerge from DQ. Just remember to agree where to meet and make sure you get a bite to eat... shopping and gaming makes you hungry.
