Where can we eat at Downtown Disney? We plan on going there our first night at WDW and we are not going to be using a ADR or our dining plan on that night. i think we may have 4 adults and 4 kids with us. Any suggestions?

The new T-Rex Cafe just opened. There's also Rainforest Cafe. Earl of Sandwich is nice but it's not sit down. There are other restaurants but I haven't been there. We don't eat at DTD much.

There are several options at DTD. We were there last month and tried Wolfgang Puck Express for the first time and it was great. You order your food, they give you a number, you find a seat and then they bring you the food on real plates with real silverware and there are waiters and waitresses to bring you refills on your drinks. We also ate at the new T-Rex restaurant, service was good as well as the food, considering it had only been open about 2 weeks at that point. We went early on a Thursday night, around 6pm and only had a 25 minute wait but it can be very crowded and a long wait. And it's LOUD in there with the dinosaurs. Earl of Sandwich is great counter service, reasonable prices, great food. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. Lots of seating inside and out. There's also Cap'n Jacks, McDonald's, Raglan Road has a counter service side as well. You might need a reservation for Fulton's Crab house, Raglan Road sit down, etc.

Good luck!

We LOVE  Wolfgang Puck Express, best Rotisserie Chicken anywhere and enough for 2 adults to share. Mom and I always shared it and still had leftovers. They have a nice children's menu, too.

We also enjoyed Earl of Sandwich. It took me a long time to go there, because of so many sandwich places around town, but it is truly the best sandwich place I have ever been to, and they have other items as well and most of their sides are inexpensive. They also offer a discount to AAA card holders :thumbsup2

Another vote here for HoB!!! We went there for my b-day lunch and it was awesome!!! Everyone was so full!! Even picky DD17 found lots to eat and was loving it all!! We will definitely be going back there soon!!

Our second choice would be RFC. We always have to eat there but now they don't have my favorite crab dip:confused: .

We can't wait to try the T-Rex!!! We thought about driving down to eat there and do some shopping!! :rolleyes1

We ate at Raglan Road last month for the first time and really enjoyed it.

Wolfgang Puck Express was DW & my favorite meal at WDW this past September. And I'm not just comparing it to the other CS, but the TS's we ate at as well.

http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm#pi This will get you to the allears site that has menus for all over Disney. This way you can choose where you think your family would like to eat based on the menus.

I like Planet Hollywood. I really love the L.A. Lasagna! It is my DH and my favorite! We order it every time! (plus you get the $15.00 off coupon.):)

I've usually done Planet Hollywood. This was the first time my friend had done the PH. We had the $15 food voucher which helped immensely! Maybe next time we'll try out the T-Rex. We walked around it and it was awesome. :thumbsup2

We have eaten at Fultons, Portebellos, Bongo's and Wolfgang Pucks and enjoyed all of them.
