I Am Still Making Plans For Our Thanksgiving Trip And I Am Courious, What Is There To Do In Downtown Disney With A 5 Yo Boy??? Is There Bus Transportation From Pop Century To Downtown Disney?

Yes all the resoorts have transportation to the theme parks and down town disney.
There is a lego store that is pretty interesting there that your son might enjoy. Mostly it is just shops and restaurants.

I have photos at www.denisesfitnessblog.org/disney of a walk of Saratoga Springs and Downtown Disney in three parts. So you can see some of it that way. (you can just click on the links after scrolling down).

There is the toy store, the World of Disney, lego shop, lots of restuarants, Virgin megastore, DisneyQuest if you have the water park fun and more pass, McDonalds, Ghiardelli, etc. It's a neat place to hang out.

Our boys were 6,6, and 8 on our last trip and we did Downtown Disney for the first time. Our boys enjoyed looking at the Lego structures and playing with the Legos at Lego Land. They enjoyed going through the pirate part of the Disney store. They played outside trying to get "spit" on by the Stitch on top of the store too. We went to Goofy's Candy Company store and a couple of other toy stores. One of the toy stores had some Star Wars stuff which is right up their ally. You can even build your own custom light saber for $20 or so. There are some plastic statues of things like Mr. Potato Head, a skeleton pirate, and some Toy Story characters that they took their pictures with. We went in a Winnie the Pooh store and a Christmas store. One of the 6 year olds likes that stuff and he enjoyed it. There is a Gheraldis store where you can get some great looking ice cream sundaes too. The boys aren't begging to go back to Downtown Disney, but they didn't mind it at all. We saved all of our shopping for that night so they were excited to finally get a souvenier. We are definitely planning on going back next time.

We were there last night in fact! It's cool just walking around and seeing it all, there's a lot of Disney "magic" there. We took the kids (7 & 4) to Cirque du Soleil...they LOVVVED it!

Then we went to Planet Hollywood...it was terrible...just an FYI.. the promised 15 min wait was more like 1 hour 15 mins..and the food was so bad I sent it back (overcooked and cold - a simple $14 cheeseburger!). Skip PH...my advice at least.
