We always hit DTD on the first evening of our trip. We drive, so by the time we check in our hotel and get settled, it's too late to justify a day's admission, so DTD works out great for us. We always eat at Rainforest Cafe which is an adventure in and of itself! My kids (5 and 8) enjoy the lego shop and the toy store with all the Mr. Potato Head pieces/computer game. The last couple of years that we've gone have been near Christmas, so Santa Claus is there and they have the little railroad set up for rides.

Great time down at DTD. Lots of fun stores. My boys loved playing at the lego store, going in the candy store ( I thinks its Goofy's candy store) , looking at the toy store where toys are moving all around, yummy ice cream (yes, I have my free sundae coupon ), and when we were there, a group of local artist were doing chalk drawings on the ground( they were amazing!). Can't wait to go back in a few days.

Shop, eat, dance, drink, eat, eat and eat.

DTD is all about the awesome atmosphere to me. I go there almost every night of vacation. It's so beautiful.

There are a lot of great shops & resturants at DTD to spend the evening at! Goofy's Candy Co, Pooh Corner, Disney Tails (pet store), Mickey's Pantry, Mickey's Mart (everything $10 & under), Art of Disney, Disney's Wonderful World of Memories (scrapbooking), Disney's Days of Christmas, Once Upon a Toy, Summer Sands (sells Tommy Bahama, Roxy & other swim & surf wear), Team Mickey (for the sports person), and World Of Disney. Arribas Bros (crystal & glass), Lego, Basin, Gheridelli (there is a shop there too) and the many vendors round out the Marketplace. There is usually something going on at the DJ Dock stage near WOD. The new pub at PI is a great place. We ate there when it first opened, and I felt it was family friendly (of course I come from an Irish family...).

DTD is a great place to spend your evening! :earsboy:
