Downtown Disney Transport

Does anyone know if you take disney transport from MK to DTD and will it return, Last year we took the bus from MK to DTD but when we tried to catch a bus back there wasn't one and had to get a taxi back to MK, we spoke to the information centre, they said that a return bus was planned and kindly refunded our taxi fare. The question is, is this now running?

On my recent trip to WDW I found that they had changed some of the bus routes. Tried to get a bus from the TTC to Downtown Disney and they no longer run from there. I asked a CM and she told us that the only place you can get a bus to Downtown Disney is from the Resorts. However during the day the bus from the MK resorts, Polynesian, Contemporary and Grand Floridian only run about every 25 to 30 minutes we were told this by a CM that works at the Polynesian.

The reason you can't get a bus from DTD to MK (or any park) is due to the free parking at DTD. If you could park at DTD and then get a bus to the parks you would be bypassing the parking fee - and Disney wouldn't like that

If you post transport questions on the Transportation Board there is a WDW bus driver called Tyler who is a fountain of knowledge for all things WDW transport

The word was that they stopped the bus service from DD because the shuttles are for Disney resort guests but they found they were ferrying off-site guests.
