Downtown Disney taxi availablilty?

We would like to take a taxi from Downtown Disney to Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine for 6 pm Saturday evening mass. What is the availabilty of taxis from Downtown Disney? Where would we find one?

Usually we take a taxi from the Dolphin to the Shrine, then take a taxi after mass to Downtown Disney since it is pretty close, and we have dinner. But, we never seem to get enough time to browse the shops. This time we figured we'd spend part of the day at DTD and then go to mass from there...

Will be able to find a taxi without having to pre-order one?

Yes there are taxi's lined up in several spots at DTD. You should have no trouble.

OMG Singingmom - I could have written this post! We will be there Sat - also going to DD to catch a taxi to the Shrine! Last time we stayed at WL - it cost around $25 to get to the Shrine - so we asked them to drop us off at DD on way back - only $12. So this time, we'll take the bus to DD and then hopefully a cab will be available. I'm just worried about getting back there - I haven't had much luck in the past with getting taxis to return to pick us up - one time we were stuck out in the rain for 30 minutes waiting for one! Have a great trip!

hi there! You can make a reservation with Mears to have them waiting for you after mass... The conceirge at the Dolphin helped us out with that. We usually just "winged it" in the past, but last year we had my parents with us, so we needed a "van", not just a taxi for the 3 of us.

Usually there are taxis lined up in the driveway on your left as you exit the shrine doors...
