Does anyone have an update on how bad it is to drive/park around DTD? In a post a few months ago people were saying it is better to take a Disney bus but we won't be able to do that this year (we need our son in his car seat) so I was wondering how bad it would be to drive. We'll be there next week and would probably go early in the day.

We were there last weekend and parked at Team Disney (the colorful building that kind of looks like a cruise line) across the street. There was a shuttle waiting there that took us straight to the parking garage in front of the AMC Theatre - it was easy peasy. I'm not sure if that's the way it is all the time, every time, but that was our experience last weekend and I thought it was fabulous!

We were there the week of May 11th, and parked in the parking garage several times with no problems. We usually got there around noon though, so I can't speak for evenings.

Thanks for the info. I don't think we could do the shuttle though. Our son has a condition where we aren't really comfortable with him on a bus or shuttle yet.

Sorry if this is silly, but is it easy to walk from the garage to DTD with a stroller? We would be going earlier on in the day as you did.

Went there last Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. The worst part is the traffic getting to the garage traffic signal. Once in the garage it was pretty easy to grab a spot take an escalator or elevator to the walkway level then steps or elevator to street level.

Yes, there are several big elevators. :-) It's easier to park on the second floor though. The walkway is on the second floor so if you park on the first you have to go upstairs, over the walkway, and then back down (two elevators or escalator/stairs instead of one).

And then once you get there you get to look at lots of construction walls. Honestly, between the traffic mess, the parking mess and the construction walls I have decided just to wait until they are closer to "done" to bother to go back.
