Downtown Disney Hotels

Two questions.....
- How is the bus transportation from these hotels to the parks?
- Do they have Disney gift shops?

We stayed at The Hilton, and the bus transportation was excellent. They did have a small Disney gift shop, but the Marketplace was just across the road anyway.

I've stayed at the Wynham palace and spa and the hotel royal plaza and never had any problems with the bus service.

I also stayed at a DTD hotel a few years back. The bus service was excellent, we had no problems at all. There was both a regular gift shop that sold Florida type items as well as a small Disney gift shop that sold only Disney items. One of the best parts was being able to take a stroll to DTD in the evening and catch a little shopping and night decorations to relax before bed!

Courtyard at Marriott has a disney store. The transportation was good. They have a set schedule and follow it very well. It's nice being close to Downtown Disney.

I stayed at the Courtyard and the bus service for pick up was always right on schedule. The only thing I didn't like was when we were picked up at the parks. We had to walk out into the parking lot to a space where the bus would pick us up. We realized after a few times to wait in the shade then walk out to the bus as the bus is on a schedule and will not leave the parking lot until scheduled time. Sometimes that was upsetting because after walking in the parks all day then waiting for the bus you want it to become a taxi and deliver you to your door immediately.
