The Doubletree Hotel and the Hilton Hotel are sold out for Nov 25 - Dec 1. 2007. Does anyone know what is happening in the area that would cause the hotels to sell out. I thought the week AFTER Thanksgiving was suppose to be slow.

Thanks

We are arriving Dec 1st and staying in DTD at the orlando vista hotel and we had no problem getting a room, I heard the week after thanksgiving was busy but the next few weeks after that were slower, i hope you find a place to stay!!

There is some availability at the Hilton, but it's over $200 a night for those dates.
The Regal Sun (former Grosvenor) has very affordable availability.
Cypress Pointe Resort has 2 bedrooms for that timeframe for $85/night including tax.

The CPR sounds like a good deal. That's 2BR and 2BA plus a full kitchen with a washer/dryer and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Ok, I did some quote-hunting, here's what I found:

Buena Vista Palace is $129/nite for those dates, Sheraton Safari is $110/nite ($160/nite for a suite), and Hotel Royal Plaza is $154/nite.

Found specials at two of the DTD resorts:

Regal Sun (Grosvenor) - $120/nite room is now $111!

Best Western LBV - the $124/nite rate is only $99.20/nite.

Might also want to check sidestep & kayak (multi-site comparison), and of course the 'official' DTD hotels site.

Hope that helps!

There are better rates to be had at most of these DTD options for these dates.

Regal Sun $79/night
Best Western LBV $87/night
Sheraton Safari $87/night
Hotel Royal Plaza $119/night
Hilton DTD $224/night

All of these are in a standard room and include tax. ;)

Wow, nice hunting -- where'd ya find those rates??

It may be a busy time of the year for touring the parks, but these are huge convention hotels...

Does anyone know if they have a convention going on that week? I tried the hotel but they just tell me they are full.
