Downtown Disney Expert Needed

We just returned from a few days at Disney. Love Downtown Disney at Christmastime. My question is as we were waiting on the bus to leave there where people crossing a highway from a hotel just across the street. What hotel would that be? I did not see a name from where we were at but since its the closest to DD I would consider staying there if it is just a matter of crossing a street and being there. Thx

I would think you are talking about the Wyndam Lake Buena Vista. Just recently changed names from Regal Sun.

There are two that are directly across from downtown Disney, Buena Vista Palace and the Hilton Lake Buena Vista. The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista would be the next closest.

Ditto that....the corner by the bus stop is like a Y so you have 3 hotels right there but there are also several more down the street that people will walk from.

I was in that hotel on last may, is the Regal Sun resort now changed its name to whindham or something like that.
Is true, was wonderful just to walk accross the street to reach downtown disney.!!!!!
Its clean, confortable, we stayed at tower room in the eleventh floor Beautiful sights of donwtown disney and the lake!!! And the best is is the only hotel in that street that have refrigerator and free wi fi included!!!!!
my husband and i strongly recomend this hotel!!!

Which of these hotels have balconies (something I really want for a mini Downtown Disney stay)? I know the Holiday Inn and Buena Vista Palace do. Do any of the others?

We usually do a condo or Villa, but for a mini four night stay I thought we'd do this area, something I've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in 22 trips. // planning on resort hotel for this trip (something a little different)
