We are looking for an inexpensive hotel for 1 night (Oct2 - Oct3) and I was checking rates for some different hotels. This 1 is close to Disney and with AAA discount around $55 for the night - we are staying in DIsney for 10 nights checking in on October 3rd so looking for a cheap but not gross cheap place to lay our heads for 1 night only. Only prerequisite is clean!!! Has anyone stayed in the downtown disney Days Inn??? Opinions pls.

I don't think there is a Days Inn in Downtown Disney, unless they built it in the last two weeks. :confused3 Do you mean the one in Lake Buena Vista, on Apopka-Vineland Rd? It isn't in Downtown Disney, but it's not far away.

Days Inn is known for being good, clean accommodation. Being in LBV it is likely to be in good shape (I haven't toured it this year). Nothing fancy, but good family accommodation. There is no restaurant there, but there are many family dining locations very close by.

That looks like the one - it is listed on Days Inn Website as Days Inn Downtown Disney but the address is on Apooka so I would say yes it is most likely it. The only major concern is clean as we will be only sleeping there for 1 night then checking in at All Start Sports - we may be arriving 1 day earlier than anticipated and I need to make accomodations if we do. Thanks

We stayed there for a night in 2002. It was fine. Not great, but ok for a night before checking in at WDW. It was showing age but was reasonably clean.

In '98 we stayed at what was then the Travelodge (can't remember what it is now) in that area right down the street from DTD. It was very nice, clean with convenient transportation to WDW.

We stayed there for 4 nights in 2000 (seems soooo long ago now). Was fine as a place to sleep, since we were hot and heavy at WDW and Kennedy Space Center, and really didn't care about pool, etc.
