Downtown Disney Appreciation Thread

I love DTD! My favorites are Disney Tails, The Christmas Shop, and the Ghirardelli store. :earsgirl:

I cannot remember the name of the bar that is located outside the restaurant and there are tables that sit along the water and the walkway(from what I remember) but anyway, my son and I were waiting for family to go to RFC for dinner and I wanted a drink. I ordered some concoction of multiple rums that seemed to have a splash of fruit juice. OH MY GOSH!!! When I brought this thing back to the table my son said , you are not going to drink that, are you? The alcohol smell was so strong he could smell it from across the table! :earseek: Needless to say I drank about half of it and I was feeling pretty warm and fuzzy. Then not so good. Way too much alcohol for one drink.

We did this one early evening in July...I can't remember the name of the stand either. Before we walked over there, we got fruit smoothies and a tub of popcorn for the kids from the stand on the other side of the stage area, then got our grown up drinks and sat at one of the lakeside tables on the Rainforest side. I got the frozen margarita and dh got the one on the rocks. I think his was def. stronger, not having a bunch of ice melting in it. I'm a wine drinker myself, so one mixed drink is usually it for me, especially in the heat! It's a great place to relax and people watch...

I really enjoyed DTD my last trip. However, although I enjoyed Cap n Jacks food, I wasn't crazy about the atmosphere of the restaurant or the very limited menu. Also the price for such a casual dining restaurant was not warranted.

Having said that I love DTD.

Sorry for some negatives, but that menu was bugging me the whole trip.
