downtown disney and hotels parking

We are staying at the Howard Johnson for our trip in a couple of weeks and we have Goofy's Kitchen dinner ressies. Does the Disneyland hotel have ample parking and do you have to pay for parking to go there for dinner if you are not a hotel guest? If yes, how much?

As far as I know, you'd likely want to park at DTD for that. They have 3 hours free parking, and 2 more with validation.
