Downtown Disney a Bad Idea?

We're WL people, and our method of doing DTD differs from others...we boat to the MK and then grab the POFQ bus , once there, we'll wonder back to the boat launch and catch the DTD boat...wife likes World of Disney and we both like Raglan Road...after that we'll take the WL bus back....no way would we attempt to drive to DTD, we got caught in the traffic couple trips back going to the grocery store, 20 minute trip turned into 2 hour sitting in traffic fiasco....never ever taken our car to DTD, just isn't worth it when transportation is provided on property...
