Downsizing, Rebalancing etc....UPDATED

Well, negotiations are over and I've finally signed the bit of paper to "separate" me from the company.

Just have to find a job now.

Noli nothis permittere te terere.

Just catching up with the Dis Richard, hope now that ties have been severed with your company hope your head is in a better place (and the rest of you of course)

Best wishes for the future

Jan

Hope things work out well for you Richard :thumbsup2

Well, having signed all my separation papers on 12th October it has taken up until this morning for my "pay-off" to be put into my bank account. After chasing them it appears that they did not receive the documentation from my solicitor (who insists they posted it). Anyway, the solicitor faxed the information through again on Monday so all is complete now. However, I did receive a letter from the private medical company 2 weeks ago notifying me that my cover was now terminated because they had received notification from my employer that I ceased work with them on the 14th October - now how did the company know that if they hadn't received the signed documentation from my solicitor? (no surprise there eh Tron? ;) ).

Also, I had an outstanding expense claim from the 11th September which I have been chasing for 2 months. I finally got a cheque for it through the post on Thursday. Not from the company mind you, but a personal cheque from a colleague which he will now have to claim through the system (no surprise again eh Tron? ;) ).

On the job front, I now have two interviews lined up; one on the 23rd and one on the 28th. Not that well paid, but the plus points are they are local and it's better than no work at all. If nothing else, it will be good interview practice, having not had an interview for over 8 years. It'll make a change from sitting on the other side of the table doing the interview.

Besides that, Christmas shopping is all but done - even the "difficult" ones, and we may pop over to Bicester Village next week (well DW keeps hinting at it).

Anyway, chins up everyone, it'll soon be Christmas. :goofy:
