Downside to Dining at Signature Restaurants

My "dream" is to dine at each & every Disney restaurant. As silly as it may seem, I began wondering...after we dine at Signature restaurants, will we even want to go back to the "regular" dining spots?

We haven't been to Disney many times; we haven't eaten at Le Cellier. I'm making it a food priority this time. I hope I won't be disappointed...please help me...great steaks and wine???????????? That would be all I need...

very good question... after my first trip to Cali Grill, I haven't ever NOT GONE BACK! It's excellent!

I do like Le Cellier... but this next year I'll be trying Yachtsman. Thank you deluxe dining plan!

Sure, why not? Most of the Signature Restaurants have good food and high prices, but that doesn't mean that they are really better. I find the "hunt" for the perfect 1-credit restaurant to be far more rewarding! Heck, I can always waste 2 credits and have a great view at Narcoosee's or California Grill or outstanding food at Jiko's or Yachtsman Steakhouse. But the meals at Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia or Boma (all 1 credit meals I have planned in the next 2 weeks) really do rival the "big dogs".

Oh, I'm also eating at Narcoosee's. I love the view! The food's not bad either .

In general, since there are so many differnet types of restaurants that may not be a problem. However, it did happen to me in 1 case. I had dined at Le Cellier, thought it was good and that I would go back. Then I went to YSH. No way could I go back to Le Cellier again now.

Depends on your tastes, I suppose! DH and I are quite spoiled and we LOVE Restaurant Marrakesh, the Moroccan restaurant in the WS.

Not a problem - There's so much to love in so many of the World's restaurants.

For steak . . . so many choices . . . LeCellier, Yachtsman, Concourse steak house, Rose & Crown, Maya Grill . . .

Glad to hear good news about Tutto Italia...I'm looking forward to trying this one next week, but am a little put off by some bad reviews. However, it APPEARS that those who really downgrade it were big Alfredos fans. And those who upgrade it seem to appreciate authentic Italian. So - I'm hoping I'm right on with this analysis. I LOVE good Italian food.

DH and I have eaten at most of the restuarants and definitely all of the signatures at least 3 times each. Honestly, the signatures are only signatures at Disney, most of these would not rate that high compared to fine dining in most larger cities. We eat there and we enjoy it because we are at WDW but except for V&A and Bistro, the others are just more expensive places to eat. I think there is just as good as food at some of the less expensive places. I actually think BOMA is one of the best places to eat and it's just a buffet.

We've given up dining anywhere on property but the signature restaurants. The 1TS restaurants have declined substantially in quality since the introduction of DDP. So, we no longer bother with them.
