Downgrading Dining Plan on Reservation?

I have a quick question, that I'm hoping you can help me with.

I have a reservation for 8 nights on the DxDP at POP, which was upgraded from FD.

My final payment is due July 5th, but because of an issue with other things here at home the funds that I was using to pay it off won't be available until the 15th.

My question is this.... If I downgrade my dining plan back to just the QSDP which is what is covered by the FD offer that I received, so that my final payment is reduced by the upgrade cost, can I upgrade back to the DxDP later on (July 15th), when I have the funds available?

Yes you can do this on the 15th or there after or up to 72 hours before you leave. MHO

If u dont owe much u can call disney and tell them that it would be the paid soon. I had to do that last year and they said they understood and would not cancel my res because most of it was paid for.

I would downgrade the tickets to the minimum amount required for your package for everyone on your reservation, no park-hopper, etc. You can always upgrade the tickets to your needed amount of days and whether you want the park-hopper option when you check-in.

Same here. Just call them and tell them that you will pay on the 15th. As long as you have a decent amount of money down, they will not cancel you. I actually wound up paying my balance two weeks before I left. They were very nice about it.
