I am looking for a comfie, cozy, fluffy comforter that I can maybe put a cover over? Any suggestions that are not too $$$?

Thanks :teeth:

I just ordered one from Overstock.com for $18! It's down and white feathers. The customers who've received it gave it 4.2 out of 5 stars, so it must not be too "cheap." There's free shipping right now, too.

We bought ours at Kohls a year ago and love it. We paid less than $200 for a king. I can't remember the maker, it might be Sealy. One suggestion, make sure it is baffled and not just one big comforter. Otherwise, all the down will migrate to one area of the comforter, leaving the other areas bare!

Helpful hints:
Get the highest thread count you can afford
baffles are your friend
high fill power
highest quality down you can find *not feathers*

We have a down blanket for the spring/summer and a comforter for the winter. I don't know how we lived w/o either one of them. We're always the perfect temperature. No more chills or night sweats!

watch out if you have allergies. We had one and really bothered me. We got the down alternative comforter from Target a few years ago and love it. I think it was $69.99 for king size it comes in colors. Ours is a red color. Less messy and troublesome.

I got mine from IKEA and I really like it. It keeps me warm during the winter. I think it was ~$60 for a full/queen

Wait until January and they will all be on sale during all the white sales. I have been able to get nice king sized ones then for under $40.

:thumbsup2 We have one on our queen size bed and each kid has a single. All from Ikea. And their linens are very nice quality for no too much $$.

We use down alternative as well, it can go through the washer and dryer (not all down can--beware of high dry cleaning costs!) and is warm and comfy. I want to think it came from Bed, Bath & Beyond, I"m sure on sale or with one of their 20% off coupons.

Target has one til today. Woolrich down blanket any size 24.99. 240 thread count and 550 fill.Square quilting. We bought this last month and love it. Just ordered it online yesterday for my DS as his is shot and he needs a new one.I believe it is on page 21.

Ok, so I am correct to look for baffle box and the higher the TC the better? What about the fill amount? Is that something that I have to worry about?

I am so clueless! :rolleyes1
