So here is my first observations in all the blur of activity the past few weeks, POTTY TALK on the DIS??!!!??!! WAIT until I tell DH...

I totally LOVE your Cinderella Castle pic. THAT made me laugh aloud! PERFECT choice!!!!


SO cool that you got to meet WigD on your way east! So much fun to have those random DIS meets!! Very very cool!

I love the randomness posts, those are the most fun. I mean less than a month now! Can you count it on your fingers and toes??!! YAY!!!

And SCORE for LL getting those extra three days! I think that is an awesome gift! Excellent!!!

Leslie says my in the Castle bathroom is cheating LOL HAHAHA I just followed her rules LOL!!!!!

I wish I had thought to take some pictures while having dinner with Anita, Marc, Megan, and Harper, but alas I didn't! There are a couple on FB I know. But I will talk more about that visit!! IT was fantastic to spend some time with them!! They are great!!!!!

They say time flies when you are having fun, well fun is being had and time is flying right by!!! 2011 is coming fast and with that so is our trip!!!! That’s right starting Saturday; we can officially say we’re going to Disney this month!!! The exact countdown brings us to

That’s right 27 Days (well 24 for Leslie) and they are going to go by so fast!!! Just thinking about all the things that have to be done before we leave gives me a bit of anxiety LOL!!!! #1 priority is making sure my classroom is left well prepared and organized for my substitute. Leslie is pulling out the suitcases this weekend to start packing, while I prefer the C method and will most likely be packing the night before!!! January is a tricky packing month, you never know if you are going to be faced with 70s or with 30s as highs so trying to figure out a wardrobe is quite interesting. I prefer the layering method and will be packing accordingly.

In bag news, it has been decided…MP (Mary Poppins) will not be making it this trip! I’m going to use my cargo sling (who has yet to be named) and rent a locker if necessary!!! With minimizing my camera size and learning I don’t have to prepare for a natural disaster while at Disney it’s time to let go and try to go light LOL!!! Check back during the TR to see how that goes.

Also another Vera will be going along, but not as a park bag, but as my carry on!! WOOT WOOT, Christmas gift from mom, a Weekender!!!

Isn’t it lovely!!!! I’m going to have the best looking carryon on the flight!!! And no worries all Veras and shoes have been Scotchguarded (TWICE) and are ready to face the elements (whatever elements can be faced between Austin and Orlando).

Speaking of holidays Leslie and I wanted to share some holiday fun with you!!! Leslie hosted her first Christmas at her house…complete with roast and Yorkshire pudding!! I have heard first hand from a guest that the dinner was excellent and Leslie was a fantastic hostess!! I shall be inviting myself over for next year’s festivities. Leslie and her family also have a tradition of opening crackers and you will see some photos of that including her father throwing confetti and of course it wouldn’t be the holidays without some beautiful pictures of Leslie’s two cats Sully and Ruby.

Marc with his Christmas pressies….snowshoes, complete with apparel LOL

My holidays were split between two families!! I went home for the first week of Winter Break to see my family and our newest arrival Ari. Along the way I was able to stop and meet up with some very wonderful friends Marc and Anita, who live on the route home!! I was able to share a (while be it too short) dinner with Marc, Anita, Megan, and Harper (who is adorable LOL). I also received a very lovely gift (Mickey Snowman, who is on the entertainment center). LOVE IT!! I had such an enjoyable time and plans are set to meet up for longer in March when I head home for Spring break!!! I’m very much looking forward to that time with them.

Visit home was wonderful. It is always great to see family, but most of all to see the darling little baby girl who was just added to the bunch. Part of my gift to Ari was a crocheted hat made by Leslie (so talented she is). It was a tad big, but she will grow into it quickly and be able to use it!! Everyone loved the hat. Spent a few days home and then it was hurry back to Austin so I could get things ready for the arrival of my inlaws. So far it has been a good trip, well if you don’t count the plane issues and next day arrival LOL. We visited the Texas State Museum, had our Christmas dinner (last night LOL), visited a cave, and have played one too many hands of Euchre LOL!!!! Today I think we are going furniture shopping and taking down the Christmas decorations (nothing beats free help LOL)

Ha! I will not be out snow shoeing anytime soon.

In fact, I have been battling a sinus infection and now a cold for most of December and all I want to do is sleep. I think I can thank my inlaws for the cold from our fondue dinner on Christmas Eve. Boo Hiss.

I am so ready for our trip!!! I can't wait and I'm freaking slightly about packing and of course footwear. I'm brining my sneakers from last year again and my flip flops since they worked so well in September. Who knows. I'm just going to try to go with the flow.

Jen- not sure we can call my packing practice a "method" but somehow I always get there and figure I can buy whatever I need if I've forgotten it. I would like to try to be more organized in 2011... we'll see how that goes.

It's a little smaller than I'd like but I think the cargo sling is too big. Sigh. I'd really like something in the Very Berry Paisley pattern but I'm trying to convince myself that the money I'd save by skipping a new Vera Bradley would be better spent in Disney.

So this is the opposite of enabling folks.

Maybe I should just settle on a new wallet?

Why not get a new wallet for your Saddle Up that wouldn't be as expensive and Vera has some great wallets!!!
