Doubting my hotel choice

I have the Boardwalk Villas booked for my upcoming trip and I'm starting to doubt my decision on picking it. Just a little concerned about the parking and construction advisory. Of course now most of the hotels are booked up so can't switch. Are my fears silly and I'll love it? I've never stayed in any of the Epcot hotels before so this is a new experience for me.

I wouldn't worry about the construction advisory. I received the same email back in February. The only thing going on was some exterior painting. It wasn't disruptive at all. AFAIK there is nothing major going on. We didn't have a problem parking over President's Day weekend.

I've stayed at WL multiple times during construction. Never had an issue. Relax and enjoy!

I wouldn't worry about the construction/parking advisory. I love staying in the EC resorts as I love the easy access to EC and DHS.

Truthfully, BWI has had that Construction notice and parking notice on their website for nearly 2 years. We've stayed there 4 times since then and other than 1 stay on the Villa side never even noticed construction. And that was soft good replacements, not construction per se. I haven't a clue what they've got that on there quite honestly
We even drove on 1 of those stays and parking was a non-issue (though we arrived, parked and never moved the car again till we left for home)

This has been my experience as well. I parked the car when I arrived, and didn't move it until I left, but there were plenty of spaces when I did so. I think once, in the couple of years they have had that notice up, we did have to park on the side where the valet parking is also located instead of across from the convention center where we prefer, but we weren't very far out at all.

I haven't had any construction issues since they finished the last interior refurbishment (minor noise issues then). It's just been exterior repainting.

That's good to know. I have a pool day planned so I was worried about construction noise during the day.

Disney is good at hiding construction so I'd think you'd be fine.
Unsolicited advice: from YC, BC or BW I'd suggest a park hopper. Use the international gateway to get into Epcot on days you want to be at MK. Just walk to the front and get on the monorail. Takes about the same amount of time, you get yours steps in, and you're in the park right away. But I also hate busses.

Don't worry about it. There was an advisory when we went too and it stressed me out weeks leading up to our trip. I can't believe it's still going on! Parking lot was pretty full, but we found a spot right away and there were a lot of spots in a farther lot. The Boardwalk is one of my absolute favorite resorts and you're going to love staying in the EPCOT area.

I swear whatever they are doing is taking so long they are going to finish just in time to start all over again!
