Doubletree Universal

Has anyone stayed here recently. We are due to go in May and have heard reports that it is undergoing renovation. Are both towers done?

Hi & welcome to the Disboards. We are just back from a stay at the Doubletree Universal (25th Dec-4th Jan) which was still undergoing renovations during our stay. The South Tower appears finished but they are still working on the North Tower and some of the public areas. I'm not sure when they are due to finish. It may be worth asking your Tour Operator if they can find out for you. If you have any more questions feel free to pm me and I'll do my best to answer them for you.

I hear May is a lovely time to visit. Which parks are you planning on visiting?

Hello, we plan to visit all the Disney Parks, Seaworld and Universal. We have a 5 year old daughter and get the impression that IOA might not suit her.
Haven't been to Orlando for 15 years so I am sure a lot will have changed!

As to IOA I haven't been, but my DDs really like the look of Suess Landings and some of the other stuff there
