Does anyone have an opinion on a comparison of these two hotels? We are a party of 5 - two adults and 3 children, ages 17, 15, and 12. The 12-year-old uses a power wheelchair. We are planning to stay 3 or 4 nights, before leaving on a Disney cruise. BVS looks to be considerably less expensive, but I like the location of Doubletree (Downtown Disney). We will have our van, so transportation is not an issue.

Have not stayed at either of these, but for the same price you may want to consider Cypress Pointe GrandVillas through Hotel Kingdom. You can get an entire villa for around $100 a night. This is practically right next door to Downtown Disney.

All of them are in a good location for that though.

Happy planning!
