I have seen were it says that there is a buffet breakfast at the Doubletree - on 'mousesavers' it says that the continental breakfast is free. Wondering if this means that there are two areas for breakfast?? Does anyone know what is on the buffet/continental breakfast? Thank you ----

The breakfast area is all together. For the continental breakfast, you can have fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, etc... The hot items (like omelets, sausage, etc...) are not part of the continental breakfast.

My best friend just stayed there for a week in February and booked with Mousesavers and got the free continental breakfast and they loved it. They said there was plenty to choose from, that paying for the extra hot food was not necessary.

DH wanted the hot food, so we paid $7 extra for his hot buffet. I just ate off the cold buffet. Food was good.

Thanks for the info!!! Lately we have been staying at Pop Century - but we are bringing along our grandson & granddaughter who are both 11. Saw the special for Doubletree on mousesaver - which would be less than the Pop using the AAA rate. So - for getting the extra space & beds (including the sofa sleeper) we are going to try the Doubletree. We have rented a car - so the cost comes out to be about the same between the two hotels. Those that have responded about the breakfast --- another question -- did you use the bus transportation to any of the parks - if so, how was it.

Thanks again ----

We went last May and the breakfast was great. Always plenty of choices and we never needed to add the hot breakfast. As mentioned previously, plenty of fruit (my little guy loved the cantalope), lots of cereals, pastries (muffins, danish, bagels, toast), juices, coffee, milk. We also used the bus transportation and had no problems. We rented a car also, but used the buses for the Disney parks. I recommend getting the first bus to the parks (8 a.m.) - least crowded. Also check the park calendar here online for the days posted for early morning hours for those staying at Disney hotels and AVOID those parks for that day. If you go to the parks not open early you are much better off.

We enjoyed the Doubletree Suites so much that we're going back this August with the Mousesavers rate with breakfast also.

Have an awesome vacation! :thumbsup2
