Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney

Hi there-I just got a reservation there-has anyone stayed there before? Any thoughts that you could share would be appreciated!

we stayed there in may 2003
we got a great reate from mousesavers.com and it included breakfast
the room was large clean and in good shape
we had good service there everyday
the pool was nice as well

i know they have recently redone most of the hotel
the only thing i hated was the buses it is shared with all 7 DTD resorts and the buses were often late adn VERY overcrowed we had our as we had driven down from MA and started using that with a 4 year we got sick of waiting for buses and tehn there being standing room only

overall we were happy there adn i would stay there again

My teenage son and I stayed there in Dec 2003 and really liked it (would rather stay onsite but got good value , were still within walking distance of Downtown Disney, and we did spend part of the trip at Old key West)...convenient location and the room was HUGE. 2 Double or queen beds in the separate bedroom with a tv in the bedroom and the bathroom, plus a living/dining area almost as big as the one in my home, of course with another tv. Very spacious, clean, colorful. Did not use bus service because we had a car. Weather did not permit use of the pool area but it was very attractive and my son did enjoy the game room near the pool. If you got a good rate, go for it! PS-Timeshare sellers in the lobby may be a problem but JUST SAY NO THANKS and they should leave you alone. Be sure to enjoy the warm choc. chip cookies at check in, too!
