Doubletree or Springhill Suites Lake Buena Vista

We are heading to WDW with two grandchildren -- a boy & a girl both 11 years old. Wondering which one would be better for us - at the Doubletree - the kids could each have one of the double beds & we could sleep on the 'queen' pull out sofa. Wondering if anyone knows what size the pull out sofa is at the Springhills?? Mousesavers has a deal for both of the places. Doubletree charges for parking. Springhills has free parking - plus there is a $25.00 per night voucher to use toward meals. Anyone have info - or advice on which one to choose?? Thanks --- Grandma & Grandpa

I would say that the deal that Mousesavers offers for Springhill Suites wins. That is what I booked the other day. The $25 credit for food etc. with kids is a definite plus. I have stayed at Fairfield in the Village and it was great. Plus you are able to pool hop to all 3 pools which is "fun" for kids (personally, I just want a loungechair and I am happy - but kids love the variety). There is a PizzaHut, Edys IceCream, and other types of food in the food court which would surely satisfy the kids and the $25 credit ! The breakfast at The Fairfield was pretty good (waffles and the usual stuff) and I can't imagine it being terribly different at Springhill Suites. A possible drawback (which almost tilted the scales against Springhill for me until the Mousesavers deal came out) is the fact that there is no door to seperate the living from sleeping area. But again, the Marriott Village has the biggest 'bang for your buck' and is a very clean and pretty compound.
