DoubleTree Guest Suites in DownTownDisney

We're planning to go to WDW in mid March 2006.

Has anyone stayed at the DoubleTree Guest Suites in the Walt Disney World Resort, Downtown Disney properties ?

Can anyone tell me when their buses let you out how far is the walk? We'll have 2 little ones with us.

I stayed at the DT. It's the first property as you enter Disney property(so it's the farthest from the actual entrance to DTD). It was a nice hotel but we found that it had a lot of hall noise. We heard everyone's conversations and doors slamming throughout the night. Ths suites have doors separating the bed from the living area, so it healped if you closed them. Buses pick up in front of the hotel (off to one side).

we stayed there in may 2003 they have remodeled alot since then
we thought it was great
we had a deal thru www.mousesavers.com and it came ith free breakfast
the room was clean, nice , and large
the pool was nice and clean it had food by it
we had ds4 at the time we walked to dtd several times 10 min tops a veru nice walk
i only didtn like the buses they were always packed
we ended up using the car to get to the parks
very worth the money
we had no issues with noise or anythign
we even added 2 days to our stay and they gave us a discount for those days as well

Haven't stayed there yet, but using the deal through Mousesavers we added two nights at Doubletree to our stay coming up in December. Don't know if that deal is still available, but it was roughly $100 per night with free breakfast each morning and a discount on other meals. I checked their website and they offer family movies (by the pool on Saturday nights). Seems like a pretty nice place.
