Doubletree at Universal

Is the Doubletree "right outside Universal" (formerly the Radisson) really walking distance to Universal Studios? I don't mind paying a higher price if I can walk and not have to drive or deal with shuttles. Is it in a convenient location for the two parks? Thanks.

It is right across from the entrance to Universal, however, then you need to go down a long street...etc..I would say it would take you about 20-30min walk to actually make it to city walk. I stayed at the SLeep inn right behind Doubletree. You can do the walk, but it is really long. I just worry after walking around US all day would you want to do the walk back!...
