We have not stayed at either of these hotels. We will be traveling with 2 grandchildren -- 11 years old -- boy & girl. Which location would be best for us to stay at. Any info good or bad!!!!

Thank you ---

Both hotels we are looking at are in the Lake Buena Vista area.

We've stayed at Hawthorn Suites LBV a couple of times and really like it. It's not the best, most modern room, but the beds are really really really comfortable and you get maid service each day. There's also a free breakfast which is OK, limited options but it's really handy to grab something on the way out in the mornings. The one downside is the pool is quite small.
However Palm Parkway is a great location only just outside Disney 5 mins by car and you are at DTD, if you go the other way then 5 mins and you are at Seaworld. My kids are 11 & 9 and they love staying here.

Hope this helps.

We decided on the Hawthorn Suites- they don't have the $8.00 a night parking fee like Double Tree does. We liked the idea of the 'full' kitchen vs. the small frig. The beds are queen instead of double. Hope that we made the right decision!! We were originally staying at Pop Century - which we have done many times.
