Double Stroller with 7 month old?

I'm leaving for my first Disney vacation on Nov. 19th, and I have soooo many things that I still haven't figured out.

Stollers. I will be traveling with my mother, and my 2 girls (ages 3.5, and 7 months). Could my 7 month old be comfortable in the Disney Strollers? Could she sleep in them? My mom has a bad hip and I don't know if she could push a stroller by herself for too long. I have a snuggly for the baby, but I don't want to break my back wearing it the whole time. The 3year old could walk some, but we wouldn't get too far with her walking all of the time. Has anyone traveled with 2 little ones with only one adult who is able to do stroller duty. Any hints???

Crowds. Think they will be heavy? Should we visit parks on EE days, or go to one of the parks that are not open for early entry to avoid the crowds?

Has anyone used Murray Hill (transportation2disney.com) as their taxi service from the airport? How were they?

Okay, I guess that's enough questions for now. This trip was a last minute gift from my mother while my husband is out of town. I invited her to visit ,and she said, "No, lets do something fun!". I've been planning for the last 4 weeks and boy is there a lot to figure out. We will be staying at the Movies resort.

Thanks for any help!!!!

Hi Genny
Read your post and had to respond....

Bring a stroller at least for the baby, and if I were you, I'd bring a double. The storage can't be beat. The disney strollers are hard molded plastic, and I think your baby would be very uncomfortable. Also, the all-stars are large and you will appreciate having the stroller just to get around the resort. At the end of a long day in the park, you could have 2 sleeping kiddos to wake and carry to your next mode of transportation, not to mention standing in line waiting for it to arrive. If you bring a single stroller, you could carry the baby in the snugli while the 3 y/o rests.

I have 3 kids, the oldest 6, and always bring our 'disney double' to WDW. Can't leave home without it. All 3 take turns riding in it and keeps them happy in a familiar, clean environment. Just my .02

Have a great trip!

I totally agree bring your own stroller. I would never put a little guy in one of the rental strollers. Having learned the hard way, there are so many different viruses going around. I wouldn't want him touching it as babies do and putting his hands in his mouth as babies do!As a prior poster mentioned They are not very comfy. Having made many trips with 2 babies. I would recommend the Kolcraft double umbrella stroller. It goes for around $60 dollars. Both sides recline so it would work for the baby very well. I bought Stroller bags from Walmart and hung them off the bag as there is no basket. They are available somtimes at Walmart/ Target. I have purchased 2 both online. One from Strollers4less.com. And one from Babyage.com. Baby ages shipping was great it was here in like 2 days ground shipping East coast.

Your baby will NOT be happy in the hard plastic ones from WDW. Even the possible added hassle of lugging the double on the bus will be well worth it. Take your double.:)

Definitely don't put 7 month in disney stroller, it is uncomfortable, low to ground hence chance of injuring dangling legs and arms. Are you flying or driving? We stayed on a monorail resort and were able to take the stroller directly onto the monorail for Epcot and MK. For MGM and AKL we drove our car and I pushed the stroller to the entrance while DH and DD took the tram. (We always rented a double Disney stroller for 4.5 yr old, better that than ruining the day with an exhausted crabby kid) We took our own single stroller for 1 year old and rented a double for 4.5 yr old. They are easy to push, but only you and your mother can decide that. Most people are patient while you fold strollers to get on the buses. And frankly if they aren't, thats their problem not yours.

Good Luck
