Double Stroller - Side by Side or Tandem

Thanks for reading. My son will be 16 months in December when our new baby is born, so I'll need a double stroller for long term use. I am looking at several and i was hoping for some advice on SBS vs Tandem. I have found versions of each that accept an infant carrier so thats not a problem. I am just looking for some advice or comparison.

I personally love my combi twin savvy (side by side). the front/back ones always look so huge and unwieldy to me.

I think it would be a good idea to go to a baby store and try out both. put your toddler in and an infant seat with maybe a jug of laundry soap or distilled water or whatever is nearby in the other section, then take it for a spin around the store. (This was the advice of a salesperson when we were stroller shopping and it really worked out well). see what feels best to you. make sure to fold them up and see how easy they are to fold/unfold and what size they are collapsed.

I had a Graco front and back stroller for my boys. It was a little like driving a bus, there's no way to make tight turns and you need plenty of room to park it. However, I loved the fact that my oldest DS couldn't touch my youngest DS and I could fit through narrow aisles and halls with it. It worked great!

It's been a long time since I had kids in a double stroller, but I LOVED back/Front. Side by side always seemed so bulky tough to push through crowds.

I bought mine after my DS was born. Turns out our carseat would not fit in any of the strollers at the store ( and I bought it a year before) . So we went with the tandem Graco Blackwell one with the infant seat.

I joke and call in the Limo but it turns great. I have no problems. I would not want a side by side one. Most stores have sure tight aisles.

I had both. I preferred the tandem when one of them was an infant and then switched to a side by side when they were a little older.
