Double Stroller Recommendations for Cruising

Hi everyone, tried to research some of the past threads but didn't see too many about double strollers. We'll be cruising with DS3 and DD1 and will need a double stroller for onboard and excursions. Just curious what you would all suggest. I don't think any of our current strollers will work since they're all pretty huge (BOB Duallie, Joovy Ergo). I do have a Chicco Twin Trevi which is a side by side, but do you think this would be difficult to get around with onboard? It folds up quite small but it is kind of wide.

I am looking into the Joovy Ultralight but I'd like to have the option for both kids to nap if necessary. I'm not a fan of umbrella strollers since I'd like for them to recline and have storage space as well. Thanks for the help!

my suggestion to you would be, not to bring a side by side at all. The stateroom hallways are very narrow as well as some decks that have loungers etc. It will be a tight squeeze for you and others passing in the hallways. Additionally, depending on where your excursions are, some places have narrow sidewalks with many tourists walking them as well as limited room in taxis and bus shuttles. A double stroller that is side by side will be frustrating for you as well as others around you. My suggestion would be a front to back stroller.

I know you are asking for recommendations for a double stroller, but I would recommend two single strollers.

It will be very difficult to get around the ship with a double stroller. Are you traveling with others in your party that can help push a stroller? Just keep in mind the elevators are smaller than normal and the walkways are very narrow (and especially hard when the attendants have their carts in the hallways when cleaning staterooms).

Also, you might want to seperate your children to go do something diffrent than someone in your group, which you would not be able to do with a double. You can probably pick up decent, cheap ones from craigslist or just borrow from friends.

One more thing to consider, is bringing a baby carrier for your 1 yr old and having your 3 yr old walk. Once you get on the ship, you can "rent" two free strollers from the front desk. You pay a deposit and at the end of the cruise, they credit the deposit once you return the strollers. I did it last time for my 3 yr old and it worked out great! I only brought a single for my 1 yr old and my oldest DD wanted one to sleep in after eating her dinner (we had the late night dinner).

ITA with taking single strollers. I would recommend taking at least one of your own though as it was a great help to hang the carryon bags on in the terminal while we were checking in as well as roaming the terminal with your older child. That would leave one of you with the baby and all the bags. The thing I miss most about the kids outgrowing strollers was not having the storage space under the seat for everything. LOL! You can use one onboard for your other child. They are available at GS for a deposit which is refunded to your room account when you return it.

Thank you all! Okay so I will definitely not bring the side by side. The two single strollers sounds like the best option (although that might jack the price a bit, haha). I definitely am bringing my Ergo for DD1 but will want an option for a place for her to nap. Any other input is greatly appreciated!

Edited to add, I did see the note about renting, but it would be great to have when traveling from the car to the port to have them ahead of time. :)

Single sounds great...a double stroller would be terrible in the dinning room if that is what you are going to use it for. The tables are very close. We had one women have a side by side with one child in it for dinner and everyone had to get out of there seats to move so she could get into her table.

Then she took the child out and put it in a high chair. :confused3 So she interupted every ones dinner for nothing. Since we were already eating.

Most people leave the strollers outside the resturant.
