Double stroller recomendation for bigger kids...?

We will be using our baby trend sit 'n stand for our DD5 and DD2 in August/Sept. We used it last year and it was great. In fact, I frequently had 3 kids in it... our girls plus our friends' DS4. 1 4yo would stand on the back while the other would sit facing forward with his/her feet in the basket.

Last year while leaving Epcot one day, I was pushing my DD1, DD4 AND DW on the sit 'n stand! It was funny, and we got a lot of funny looks... and the stroller held up!

We're heading to WDW for our first trip in Aug with two kids (4 and 1.5). I have a sit and stand but I thought it might be too large to manuever around the park. Will it be okay? My thought was to bring our single stroller (which reclines all the way) for the toddler and possibly buy a cheap umbrella stroller for the 4 year old. Any thoughts?

Last year we were there with our two girls, then 4 and 1.5. The Sit 'N Stand could not have worked out better. It is very easy to maneuver around the parks... the only pain in the neck part was getting on the buses. We actually bought the stroller specifically for that trip and now we use it all the time. And we'll use it aain this year.

I think it would be so much better than having 2 small strollers, because then you would have to bring two strollers with you everywhere AND you would both have to push them. It was nice having flexibility for my DW or I to go into a store or on a grown up ride as a single while the other could push both girls in 1 stroller.

Plus, our then 4 yo LOVED the freedom to hop on and off the back of the Sit 'n Stand.

Did your DD1.5 manage to nap in the sit and stand? I think my DD will end up falling asleep at some point and I wanted her to be able to nap in the stroller if possible.

We're staying off site so at least we're not dealing with the buses. I'm definitely thinking about taking the sit and stand now!

We tried to take breaks mid-day on most days, but we did not always get a chance to. There were several times that she fell asleep and was out cold in the stroller. It only has one reclining position (we have the baby trend version, not the Joovy), but she had no trouble sleeping even though she was not fully reclined. When she was sleeping, I will say that our DD4 had to stand in the back of the stroller... if she sat she had to sit very upright because of the reclined seat for our DD1.

Thanks for all the new replies! I looked at the Chicco, but was sitting on the fence because of the 40lb allowance. I just don't know. The sit n stand sounds good, but I think that I would prefer them to each have a seat, and be able to rest/recline when needed. I found one that looks good, it's a Kidco- lifestyle sport??? at this web site, I hope the link works...

Before getting our Sit 'n Stand, we used a side by side double stroller (we called it the "double-wide." IMHO, you would be MUCH better off with the Sit 'N Stand. The double wide was much harder to push around, and you will likely find it very difficult to maneuver around the parks, particularly in any stores or Counter Service restaurant lines.

Also, if you plan to use the buses at all, make sure whatever stroller you get can be folded up quickly and fairly small. The buses are bad enough, a difficult stroller would make it so much worse.

We have the sit n stand plus which is like a double tandem stroller and the back seat also can be taken off to be a sit and stand...it's pretty handy having an actual reclinable seat at the back too for my son when he needs a nap and when we have the baby in the front in her car seat. We got it at target.

The photo is actually incorrect in that you can't seem to see the sit and stand part...but it does have one and it also has a parent drink console which has space for two cups...pretty handy. It has great canopies too so I don't think I'll need a rayshade right now for our trip this summer. I'm just worried that this will be a bear on the buses to take on and off.
